Although old and far from luxurious, the room was clean and spacious. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and communicated well throughout the process (all through WhatsApp). The only two negatives to consider when booking Hotel Caracciolo is the location (close enough to Roma Termini but in a shadier area of town) and the fact that the reception desk is only open from 8am to 8pm, making late check-in or early check-out a problem.
Overall property was great. Close walk from the main train station. Staff was super friendly and helpful with how to use public transport. Felt pretty safe as you use a personal code to get into both the hotel and your room. Location is a little dark at night (not too many lights) but didn't ever feel 'unsafe'. Good and comfortable stay!
Walkable distance from Roma terminal resulting in easy access to day trips to Pisa,?Naples, etc. Lot of dining options nearby. Safe and friendly staff. Quiet room and ambience. The. Coffee bar 32 is just excellent and super friendly.
It was a small boutique hotel.
We were on the 1st floor which was nice. The staff is amazing.
The area was a bit gritty, but I felt completely relaxed and safe.
Roman ruins are everywhere nearby, easy walking distance.
Under a 5 minute walk to the train station and a really nice supermarket.
Many, many dining options within easy walking distance.
Definitely would recommend
Staff was great and available during the day. They were sincere and you can tell had great service. I would say they would be the main reason I would rebook …
The area doesn’t look very safe. Lots of graffiti however we never felt unsafe. Super close to the train. You can walk to the Colosseum. Plenty of places to eat. Grocery store & convenience stores really close. The hotel is clean. The rooms are a good size. The front desk women were all super friendly & helpful.

Rome
Hotel stuff is very friendly and helpful. Joanna gave us a lot of important informations about the city and things to do. Thank you!!!
Hotel is located close to Rome Termini station. It’s not the greatest neighborhood but convenient location. Few good restaurants and pizzerias near by, Open 24/7 little store on the corner.
Rooms are in retro style, bathrooms freshly renovated. Overall good for the money.
Make sure you have the combination code to the front door and your room if you’re going to check in after 9pm.
The room was cleaned everyday, the bed was comfy, the shower worked, and the staff was great to work with. Around the corner is the espresso 32 Cafe that was recommended to me by the front desk and it was a great place to have breakfast.
The lovely lady at the front desk was very helpful! At first our shower was not boiling hot, and the AC was not blowing out hot air, but the water was fixed within the first night, and we got the AC changed the 3rd night. Lovely place and near everything, but be careful at night with some dodgy men trying to get inside; always close the door behind you.
Chose this hotel due to its location close to train station and parking, but was surprised about the good dining options around.
Ended up finding free parking around the corner.
Great hotel rooms and great service.
The hotel itself was nice, the service and the stuff. We didn’t know about the city tax but we paid it €6 per person per day but that’s something mandatory. The area was so dirty but the restaurants around were nice.
The room and bathroom were tidy. However, the room did not have the usual European plug sockets. Breakfast was not included, reportedly since COVID-19. The reception staff were friendly and helpful.
In general, the area around the main train station (Roma Termini) did not feel particularly safe or clean to us. That was our experience, although the location is convenient for many things.
