Great location to see Rome & relax at night.

Nice room & excellent bathroom. Easy Check-in. Location was EXCELLENT! Great place to stay & hub out to site see. Numerous outstanding restaurants nearby. Will definitely go back. Highly recommend.

Lovely stay in Rome

Lovely stay at Baboon Room. Host was very friendly, communicated with us via WhatsApp to arrange our arrival, and was always available remotely if we had a query. Room was nice, decorated as per photos, comfortable, always clean and coffee pods were topped up daily. The bathroom was modern, specious and had eco friendly shampoo/conditioner/body wash/soap and moisturiser, a lovely touch. There is a communal kitchen/lounge area available for quests to use too. Generally there is not someone on site at the desk so if you need assistance you utilise the contact numbers provided at the start. Location of the room was great, close to the Spanish steps and the upmarket shops, with other big attractions not taking too long to walk to. The closest metro station is Spagna, which you can get to by using the A line from Rome Termini.

The room was lovely and spacious for a family of 3. The area was nice, very close to the Spanish steps and metro. Vittoria who greeted us was very lovely and helped us with directions and places to eat. We chose not to use the lift as felt it could be in a better condition, the stairs were alot after a day of sight seeing. Overall we would go back due to location, room and friendly staff.

Baboon Rooms is a great place to stay which is located right in the heart of town with the Spanish steps just metres away. My family and I walked to all the major landmarks from our hotel room. The rooms were clean and very stylish. Victory showed us some great places to eat and where we must visit.

Great location, excellent service. Noisy located by a church so expect bells and street noise. Also an hour before checkout you get banging on your door. Lift works intermittently. Other than that the place is very good.

Vitoria, was a wonderful help to us. She answered all our questions, and made us feel welcome. The cleaner did a good job under the circumstances, with the room being in dire need of redecoration, the furniture old and tired. Lots of chipped damaged surfaces. The kettle didn’t work. The bathroom door frame coming off. When you leave your room and take your room card with you, all electrics are off. Our milk went sour in the fridge. The internet kept disconnecting, had to keep walking to the door for it to kick in again. Would I stay at the Baboon again. Absolutely not.

Although the location was convenient and close to shops and restaurants, the overall experience was underwhelming. The building and room felt outdated, and there were several issues during my stay. The elevator was wet from the rain, the towel rack in the bathroom was broken, and there was no mini fridge in the room, which was inconvenient. The host wasn’t very friendly and seemed bothered when I asked her to confirm a taxi pickup. She also never responded to my message asking for toilet paper—which was frustrating, though thankfully I was leaving that morning. On the plus side, the Trevi Fountain is about a 15-minute walk away, and the Spanish Steps are just 10 minutes, so the location is good for sightseeing.

Could not have been in a better location! WiFi was almost nonexistent was our ONLY complaint. The guest before us was extremely inconsiderate and left their luggage behind past their checkout time. The staff had to scramble to get the room ready for us around 5:00 because they did the right thing and didn’t mess with the luggage.

Lovely stay, my only issue was the unit had a very overpowering scent. I have scent allergies so it was a bit overstimulating. Otherwise a lovely stay. Our one daughter had to sleep on a vet small day bed at the end of the Master. The other room was was in a little alcove and was small as well.

Room in Rome.

Great sized room, lovely modern decor with a separated area for kids to sleep. The shower was huge and the water pressure/temperature was great. Coffee machine and pods provided in the room. only slight issues were main room could do with a black out curtain as the light shines into the room and the current curtain doesn’t work. The room is right next to the entrance to the building and the noise from people entering the building is quite loud in the room. Cute little social area where there is a fridge to put water and snacks etc… owner who met us was so nice, great service and she circled all the places to visit on a map for us. Was really close to the fountain, Spanish steps and loads of other must see sights.

Avoid at all costs – worst hotel experience

We had a truly terrible stay at The Baboon Room and strongly advise others to look elsewhere. From the moment we arrived, it was clear the room hadn’t been maintained for years. The window didn’t close, so the noise from traffic was unbearable — we didn’t get any sleep. The room was visibly dirty and clearly hadn’t been cleaned. Furniture was broken, walls were scuffed and stained, and the overall condition of the space was poor and neglected. The shampoo was nearly empty, and we struggled to get hot water in the shower. When we raised these issues, we were met with nothing but arrogance and denial. The hotel staff refused to acknowledge any of our concerns and no refund or meaningful solution was offered. Communication with the hotel manager was painfully slow and rude. After having encountered this nightmare, we had no choice but to book a room at another hotel. After we informed them of this did the manager offer to switch us to a different room. We felt ignored, disrespected, and deeply disappointed. Save yourself the trouble — there are far better places to stay.

Mi-hôtel mi-airbnb !!! Nouveau concept pour moi mais c’est l’Italie !! Personne présent sur place à la journée mais le ménage était fait tous les jours . Des réparations sont également à prévoir. Bonne literie.
