"We enjoyed a lovely three-night stay at Hotel Squero. It was within walking distance to the old town of Rovinj in one direction and a few great swimming spots in the other direction. The staff were very friendly and welcoming (It is a family-run business), and a varied and generous breakfast was another positive aspect to the hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a balcony overlooking a quiet garden. While parking may not be right next to the hotel, one of the owners was always ready to drive us to our car. If we ever find ourselves in Rovinj again, we would definitely stay at Hotel Squero."

"Location was ideal and close to restaurants, bars and the marina. Communication and response time were excellent. My only concern was the quality of the mattress in my room. As a light sleeper, having a bumpy, soft mattress was not ideal. This property is otherwise recommended."

"The room was clean and towels were refreshed daily. Buffet breakfast and dinner in the hotel were good. The Oleander restaurant was also good but in the trees so bug spray is needed. The water in the main pool was colder than the sea, and the spa pool was cool despite, supposedly, being heated. The staff were great and many made a fuss of our 4 year old. There is no local bus or hotel shuttle to the Old Town. This is only a short walk for adults but several times we returned to the hotel by taxi (never charged more than 10 Euros though). All in all, this is an excellent location and a great holiday destination. Airport transfers were excellent, booked through Maistra link."

"The apartment exceeded expectations both in size, the view, the balcony, the full kitchen, decoration etc. The kids appreciated having their own room/twins beds and we appreciated the espresso maker (the only real coffee maker we had in all our accommodations in Croatia over 3 weeks) and the washing machine. It was a little further away from the Old Town (and the ferry from Venice unfortunately dropped us at the port on the other side of town so the walk with all our luggage in the heat was further than expected, maybe 15 min) but then also closer to the beaches the other way. Watched the craziest electrical storm I've ever seen from the balcony (for about an hour!) that was happening north of Rovinj but travelling towards us until the downpour started overnight but then sunny again the next morning! Having the Tommy market so close was also a bonus."

"Would 100% recommend. Everything you would expect from a 5* hotel - the hotel looked brand new everywhere! Beautiful rooms, immaculate grounds, generous breakfast with à la carte choices cooked to your order. What blew us away was the attention to details and every single member of staff making you feel like you were the only guests. Without asking, we received a surprise one evening in our room of an exquisite cake and champagne to celebrate our anniversary - what a thoughtful touch. My husband also accidentally knocked his iced coffee over by the pool and within minutes they had replaced it without asking. Considering our stay was in peak August season, there were always sunbeds to choose around the pool and I witnessed the pool staff going above and beyond ensuring guests every need was catered for. Cannot thank enough every single member of staff for a truly memorable visit in an amazing location."
