We love historic places to stay at. The George fit that perfectly. The room was full of charm and character. Modern it is not, but we knew this going in and we expected what they delivered. The restaurant serves delicious food. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We would absolutely stay there again given the chance. Thank you, The George Inn, we had a wonderful w experience.

The location was excellent and was within easy walking distance to the historic center of Bath.

The staff are lovely, and the property and gardens are beautiful (although they’re not quite as new or updated as the photos make it seem). It’s more of a charming quiet calm hotel in the countryside. My only issue was that the carpet had tons of large stains on it, which was rather gross and I’d expect a hotel to have a vacuum cleaner that can take stains out of the carpet. Staff were very polite, helpful, and nice. Hotel was charming and rooms clean with nearby shopping and an excellent breakfast to order with stay.

The hotel is located outside the city of Bath. It's about a 30 minute walk to the city centre, so we took a local bus. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel which is very convenient. Gems assisted us at check-in and printed out the bus schedule for us!! She was very pleasant as well as all the other staff. We were having dinner at the hotel, and she walked us to the dining room. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful the room with spacious and clean and we slept very well because it was very quiet the location is excellent as a 10 minute walk right into the city center the breakfast is one of the best we've had

We spent two very comfortable nights with a modern room and bath, nice breakfasts, and one nice dinner. The inn is in a tiny village with a picturesque ruined castle and church nearby, close to Stourhead and Longleat.

Beautiful hotel, with fantastic gardens, exceptional rooms & service. We were lucky enough to have a large room on the third floor with gorgeous views of the gardens & hills in the distance.

I spent two nights at the Hollies in early August. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food (dinner and full English breakfast) were excellent (although no food is served on Tuesday evening, but there are nearby options available). London Pride on draft.
