Southern Tides is a captivating sanctuary that offers breathtaking corner views of the tranquil sound, stretching to the west and south. The living area is fitted with a state-of-the-art 60" 4K Smart TV, complemented by 32" TVs in each of the elegantly appointed bedrooms, all outfitted with lush King Sealy mattresses to ensure a restful night's sleep. The modern, open kitchen is a chef's dream, designed for delightful breakfasts and memorable gatherings. 

Step outside to the expansive balcony, where you can unwind while basking in the glow of stunning sunsets or marveling at kiteboarders gracefully soaring across the horizon—all from the comfort of a soothing hot tub or through the impressive 10-foot sliding glass doors that invite the outside in.

The living room exudes a warm ambiance with its vaulted ceilings and a cozy gas fireplace, making it the perfect spot for evenings spent with loved ones. The master bedroom promises luxury with a King bed, while one additional bedroom is furnished with two Twin beds for versatility, and the other offers yet another King bed, providing ample space and comfort for everyone. At Southern Tides, breathtaking views abound, creating a serene oasis at the pinnacle of Rodanthe Sunset Retreat.

Guests can indulge in a range of amenities, including a sparkling soundfront pool, a private dock for water activities, and a generous kiteboarding area. Ground-level storage, an inviting BBQ grilling area, covered parking, and convenient elevator access enhance your stay. The pristine beach awaits just a short 500-yard stroll away, providing easy access to sun and surf. Upon your arrival, your beds will be made, and conveniences such as a washer/dryer and complimentary WiFi will be ready for you to use. A Keurig coffee maker is at your disposal for those invigorating morning brews, and pets are welcome for an additional fee, allowing the whole family to enjoy this idyllic retreat. Please note that the fireplace is operational from November 15th to March 1st, creating a cozy gathering spot during the cooler months.

  • Bonner Bridge is one of North Carolina's most well known man-made structures of it's kind (The Linn Cove Viaduct on the Blue Ridge Parkway is probably the most well known). This location makes for a great getaway at the Outerbanks to spend an entire day (and night). The location is popular for fishing and is ideal for landscape and astro photography. You can have lots of fun on some of the dunes, although getting the sand out afterwards is a big hassle. This is one of my favorite images from this location. I love the warm light tones and the shadows that create a contrast in the foreground sand. It is created from a single exposure with only minor modifications made to adjust overall contrast and brightness. If you are interested in wildlife, the Pea Island Wildlife Refuge is nearby and is a very popular location. A nice condo

The condo is very well laid out. We hated the tv as it had very limited cha nel selection. Non functional ice maker. This being our first time in outer banks, we will stay nags head next time.

Family Vacation

the good: Location, location , location......... is great!!!!!! Couldn't be better than that.Designated parking area for one car under the building also great. Outdoor shower with hot/cold water and an outdoor locker room for the beach chairs, umbrella and toys is a bonus. refrigerator is big enough to hold a lot of food. Costumer support is good to SUNSET was amazing to watch from this property. The bad: the electronic lock on the door didn't work upon on our arrival. we waited 15-20 min to get in. the living room was a little dusty. This property need a major makeover. the ceiling is pealing of and on the corners is cracked. Internet is very slow. TVs have only 13 channels. If you wanna watch TV Bring your own streaming device. The TV in the living room works fine but the TVs in the bedrooms need a streaming device. the jacuzzi that was listed didn't work. overall we hade a great stay If this rental will have a makeover i will rent it again

Great Stay but…

Overall we liked the accommodations and our stay overall. My only grievance is that we were not advised in the listing that the pool would be closed. Listing mentioned that the gas fireplace would not be available but made no mention of the pool. That’s a key amenity to leave out of the listing. Weather was great and we would have used it. We were also not offered any credit for their oversight when we inquired. Thank god we had no children with us. Last is the sliding glass doors. These three panes/door are not clear and you can’t see outside clearly as they each have white residue on the “inside” of the glass between the two panes and can’t be cleaned. If we were not direct waterfront then I wouldn’t care as much but I payed for a clear and unobstructed view from the inside. These doors need to be either serviced or replaced. Also hard to open which is likely why the metal door handle was broken. Final note, walkway to the pool is stone, not concrete so not handicap accessible.

Great location with a view of the Sound. Pool area could use some umbrellas and tables, overall great lounge chairs. Neptune’s is a local bar next door with good food and Karaoke. Pretty quiet neighborhood.

Great property and location

We’ve had a great 5 days in the OBX with First Flight Rentals. The condo on the 3rd floor was great, and we’ve had beautiful sunsets over the bay. I’m sure we could have seen the Atlantic sunrise too but we haven’t woken up at 5AM to see it, having 4 kids. The rooms were nice and spacious, and the bathrooms were clean. The beds are a bit loose and wobbly, with the headboards about to fall but it didn’t bother us. It might be bothersome for others. It seemed like someone with a white hair dog stayed in before us because we had to run the vacuum cleaner on the floors to pick up the white dog hairs. Behind couch cushions there were white hairs too. It could have used a better cleaning. But all in all it was a decent place to stay at the beach. It has a great assigned parking under the block of condos, with outdoor shower and water hose to clean off sand, off your beach items. Plus a storage unit for your beach stuff. The power outlet by the storage unit door doesn’t function. They might want to get that fixed. I needed the outlet to use a compressor and inflate my tires after driving in the sand and the outlet was completely dead. Could use a GFCI outlet replacement. Great place with beautiful views and well equipped kitchen. Very pretty balcony with a hot tub on the balcony. We haven’t used the hot tub, as it looked to beat up and didn’t want to take liability for anything might have gone wrong with it. Thank you for a great place to accommodate a family of 6 !

Great Location & Nice Place

We had a great time at the house. Elevators were great as we had older family members. Pool was nice for the days we needed a break from the ocean. Plenty of water sports in walking distance and beach was a 5 minute walk. Live music at Rodanthe pier for was great and sunsets from the balcony with the hot tub was great

Family trip

If you are looking for a relaxing getaway with family. This place is perfect. We took our family of 5 here and it was amazing. The place was clean. Exactly as described. The sound is gorgeous to wake up to each day. We loved our time here. The agency was very easy to work with and checked in on us to make sure we were doing well! 10/10 recommend.

Nice stay

Everything was as described and expected. The only disappointment was the quality of the outdoor grills. Horrible condition, one missing a leg so it leans, and the other converted to charcoal from propane. Those are the ones in the carport. The true outdoor grill is open and difficult to light if there’s any breeze at all. Otherwise this is a great place to stay.

Great home base for a family vacation

This condo is large, well equipped and located a short walk from a beautiful ocean beach. The kitchen is large and stocked with everything you might need. The management company responded quickly to our one maintenance concern. We really enjoyed the quiet location for our spring getaway.

Nice place!

The condo was nice, clean and well equipped. The roomy balcony with gorgeous peaceful sunsets is amazing! It was great, but could be more desirable with an additional queen bed instead of two small twins in one of the rooms. Also, one of the twin beds was coming apart. But we just used it as a dressing room for our small wedding party. The gazebo on the sound was a wonderful and beautiful place to get married at sunset! Also a ladder there you can climb into the water or get on your paddle board/kayak. We really enjoyed our stay.

We LOVED our stay here!

The location of this rental was perfect for our needs. The beautiful sound views and sunsets were picture perfect (and there were lots of pictures taken lol). Although there were minor issues or inconveniences during our stay, management was responsive and it didn't deter us from already booking for next year. The ONLY complaints I have are the lack of a blow dryer for the unit (I'll bring my own next time) and the difficulty with using the tub/shower faucet and the extra effort to turn it on and off.

Highly recommended

Our group enjoyed this property so much that we are already planning on going back. The place is spic and span, beautifully decorated, and has an awesome view of the bay. We were impressed about how the place is complete with everything we needed, especially kitchen appliances and supplies. The refrigerator is spotless, impressive brands of kitchen appliances, not just one but 2 coffee makers (Keurig and traditional kind). The tv is equipped with Roku so there’s a lot of channels and streaming services available. What we enjoyed the most is the hot tub that is situated on the balcony so you can enjoy a warm bath while sipping wine with a perfect view of the bay. I also like the fact that the property is facing the Palmico Bay which is a calmer water and has a sunset view, as opposed to the Atlantic Ocean view. Although, the beach is very accessible as it’s only a 5-minute walk from the property. The morning after we checked in, I received a text message welcoming us and to let us know that should we need anything, I could just text that number. I was able to report a minor issue with our automatic lock and received a prompt reply. Within 15 minutes, the maintenance guy arrived and fixed our lock. Such an excellent service! I will definitely recommend this property to friends and family. Hoping we can also go back some time late this year.

Nice Condo

Very nice property with great views. The hot tub was a nice touch and the weather was perfect. The furniture and beds were comfortable and the appliances seemed to work just fine. The parking area was nice and big which was great. Just some thing to note for future visitors. Be careful getting in and out of the hot tub and don’t move around too much while you’re in it because water splashes through the deck floor onto your neighbors below. We were lucky nobody was down there when we were in the hot tub, but we could hear it raining down on their patio. If I have one critique it would be that we were required to clean the kitchen (wipe down appliances, unload dishes and clean counters) and sweep the condo out before leaving even though we paid a cleaning fee. Not a big deal to us as we weren’t very messy. However, a big family with young children trying to get packed and loaded before 10:00 is hard enough. Cleaning the condo might present a challenge.
