Conkles Hollow is a state nature preserve within the Hocking Hills region. Its sheer cliffs of Black Hand sandstone rise nearly 200 feet above the valley floor.

The deep, cool gorge, which is only 100 feet wide in places and is considered to be the deepest in Ohio, has numerous waterfalls cascading over its sandstone cliffs.

The lower trail through the gorge is about 1 mile and is accessible for the most casual of hikers. The rim trail is a couple miles long and is a bit more strenuous.

"The lady at the desk was very pleasant and helpful. Felt like you were on a vacation far away when you entered the hotel. So special. Room was spacious and loved the louvered windows and it was the quietest a/c we ever experienced in a hotel. The only thing the room didn't have was a microwave. We also enjoyed the wonderful full breakfast with eggs and sausage. Just a great stay, very restful. Visiting from N.C."

Wonderful hotel

"Room was excellent. Bed was super comfy. Location of hotel was beautiful. Bathroom had a very nice shower (no tub) the decor was new and had a log cabin feel. The only thing was the breakfast wasnt really a continental breakfast. The only food they had was waffles and granola bars. I assume because this was a hospitality college, that they keep on top of cleanliness, service and the customer experience."

The Najor’s Hocking Hills Trip

"This was our first visit. My gosh… it was so quaint and romantic. The tiny home was the best, clean, bed comfortable, quiet, cozy romantic. The place had all the essentials plus things available for lighting a small fire pit . Waking up to a beautiful view of the woods….perfect for a couple. Plus close to Logan for conveniences, or go into Nealsonville for hometown things. My husband and I will be back again for sure. "

"The house was perfect for 8 adults. Everyone appreciated the king beds. The kitchen was well stocked and we prepared many meals at the house. The deck area was great for spending time together. There were several seating areas for 8 people. The neighborhood was private and quiet and yet close to activities in Hocking Hills State Park and Logan. The host was timely with communication and we had no issues at the house. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend this house. "
