The Areuse gorge can be reached easily from Basel. The hike starts in open fields but follows the Areuse stream as it descends sharply, falling through narrow gorges. The route can be treacherous but the narrow gorges are beautiful and the falls spectacular. There is a large variety of birds and at Champ-du-Moulin, about half way along the route, trout can be seen swimming up the current.

#BvSApplication Creux du Van is a famous cliff in the French speaking part on Switzerland. Often called "the grand canyon of Switzerland". A great spot for watching sunsets, hiking, even camping. It is quite a hike to reach the top, but with a view like that it is very rewarding in the end.
