"We rented an SUV to explore the east side and loved staying here for a couple of nights. Highlights included relaxing and watching the sunset on the veranda, well equipped kitchen, very clean and comfortable. The owners are welcoming, thoughtful, and responsive which was much appreciated."

"Absolute paradise. This is the perfect property for those of you that want to enjoy the island away from the tourist areas. (You'll need a rental car). Just a few steps from the beach. The reef is a short kayak away. And you have it all to yourselves. The casita is a duplex so you may have a neighbor, but they are going to enjoy the peace and quiet, just like you. The casita itself was super clean and looked brand new. The owners are Great! They are next door and ALWAYS available. The only thing...

"Wonderful property, pictures don’t do it justice, right on the water, the view is incredible, had a small boat and motor for our entire stay and spent hours exploring the area. Great fishing, snorkeling, kayaking and great restaurants close by. Our host Rosina is so knowledgeable of the area, very helpful and one of the nicest women we have ever met. Love it here."

Kimpton Grand Roatan Resort And Spa by IHG

10/10 Excellent

"We just returned from five nights at this amazing resort and have nothing but good things to say! The property itself was gorgeous. The winding paths through the tropical foliage, the beach at the end of the strip with outstanding snorkeling, the large pools and layered decks with lots of places to lounge, the beach bar .... We absolutely loved it! The staff was great and the food was delicious. Our room (a Bungalow) was large and comfortable (yet up a very steep hill, so make sure you check if you have any issues with mobility). The beach was walkable and had many other hotels and restaurants to visit, although the vendors were a bit much. The highlight of the trip was scuba diving with West End Divers! We experienced a number of amazing creatures! We lucked out with the weather (sunny and mid-80s every day and it only rained at night). And we were there in mid-September which is the beginning of Low Season which meant that we practically had the resort or ourselves. We also happened to be there over a time where no cruise ships came through. One staff member told us that it's crazy during High Season when the cruises come in...so choose your timing wisely based on the vibe you like! Overall it was a fantastic experience!"
