"The entire stay was an experience like no other that neither me nor my partner expected. The minimal personnel paired with the self service check in was eerie at first, seeming too good to be true, but after talking to the wonderful staff I came to understand the love put into this hotel and the self driven experience the owners were going for: and they succeed more than I can tell you here. Maximalist style paired with the efficiency of the relatively smaller rooms was nothing short of designer, from the seemingly jail broken iPad with games and universal control over blinds lights and the TV, to the time spent chopping it up with other guests and staff at the bar, to the charity dictated by refraining to request your suite be cleaned during your stay, CitizenM has a place in my heart that has truly earned its keep. 9.6/10 (high score)."

"The extra charge for breakfast seemed a bit excessive. However, they give you drink tickets to use at the bar which makes it totally worth it. The bartenders are excellent and make "real" drinks."

"The staff was incredible! The Chapel Cafe downstairs that is connected to the hotel is absolutely phenomenal! I loved that everything was within walking distance from the hotel including the Riverwalk and the Navy Pier!!! The room was spacious and clean and the total price of the stay was affordable! I would recommend this hotel to everyone who plan to visit Chicago!!"
