"From the moment we arrived until we left, our stay was fantastic. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare a full-course meal. We are a party of 6 women who try to spend a "long weekend" at this lovely home twice a year. Carolyn is very quick to respond to any questions or issues we have. The only thing to be aware of is -if you plan to spend time on your electronic devices, the cell service may be a bit weak. That was not a problem for us as we went there to enjoy each other's company. It is fun to see some of the wildlife that passes through and to listen to the birds in the mornings while enjoying a coffee on the deck. We are already looking forward to our next stay. "

"I can’t put into words what a wonderful experience our night at The Braeside Inn was. The Innkeepers were extremely friendly, the ambience was exceptional, the room was spotless. The property has been maintained very well. The breakfast was enjoyable. I cannot find the words to recommend The Braeside Inn to the level it deserves. "

"My husband and I only stayed one night but loved the experience. This is not a typical, run of the mill home. Rather it’s a lovingly restored Victorian house with many beautiful and original features. We stayed in the Royal Suite (super comfy King bed) and each room offers a unique theme. Elizabeth and Glenn are gracious hosts and despite the fact that I’m sure Glenn has told the story a thousand times of how they acquired the home and restored it, he shared it with us and answered our many questions about the history of the home with enthusiasm. Sadly we had to leave after a great breakfast in the morning. There is a genuine desire to make sure your stay is comfortable and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again."

"Sunshine beach house was more than we could have imagined! The location, the decorating, the amenities available in the home were outstanding. I loved waking up looking out at the ocean. It was a wonderful haven to return to after the few day trips we went on. Walking on the sandbars was so relaxing. We cannot wait to return!!"

"We checked in the Saturday of the Victoria Day weekend. Sandy offered to book us at a restaurant, but it was full so he made other recommendations. The Continental breakfast was good. The room was clean, the bed comfortable. If your looking for a place to stay in Pictou County, I would recommend The Scotsman Inn."
