"We enjoyed our stay at this hotel - it was very authentic Japanese style of beds on the floor which we found surprisingly comfortable. The only glitch, which I feel compelled to mention, is the 'smoking' area that is right at the entrance by the main door of the hotel. As soon as you enter the small corridor to walk towards Reception, the smell hits you! Other than that, the hotel was good, rooms were spacious and there were nice amenities supplied. Staff only had limited English, so...

"Beautiful hotel, room was great and really big compared to other Japanese hotels I stayed in. Great, convenient location."

"Starting from day one to checking out, customer service is consistently excellent. All staff are very helpful with all my concerns, since I don’t speak Japanese. Hotel room very clean and spacious ! Close to train station and other tourist spot"

"The room was clean and comfortable to stay in. The location was great, pretty easy to get to your desired location and a 5 min walk to the nearest train station. We booked the breakfast as it was recommended, however I did not think it was good and comments really overhyped the breakfast. Their vegetarian options were poor so if you're a meat eater maybe it's better suited for you. Also it's worth to note that they only have one washing machine for everyone so can be difficult to use it, but...

"Es bonito y está muy bien ubicado. Si volvería."

"Relaxing rooms with access to the hot springs from 3pm - 10am. The breakfast is beautiful and particularly notable. Would recommend purchasing the breakfast. They also have other amenities worth exploring, the evening soba noodles, ice cream and yakult drinks scattered through the day. They also had a few massage chairs and laundry machines. Washing is free, drying costs 100 yen. Overall would highly recommend"

"Great coffee in the morning, and the luggage delivery made our travel easier. Beautiful setting on the river as well."

"El personal excelente"

"A great hotel in every imaginable aspect. Location is great. Rooms are spacious and well kept and cleaned. Amenities include private and a public onsen, a fitness facility, and a laundry facilitiy that uses Suica card. Staff is friendly and supportive. Dinner was extraordinary."

"Stayed at Hotel Granvia Kyoto for four nights and loved the location — it's right inside Kyoto Station, so catching trains and the Shinkansen couldn't be easier. The room was comfortable and quiet, check-in was smooth, and having the station's shops and restaurants right downstairs was a real plus. Would happily stay here again on my next trip to Kyoto."
