"We needed a New Year's escape to rest and reset after a busy year and this log cabin was exactly what we needed. We had a great stay from start to finish, enjoyed the beautiful garden surroundings, had a great pub lunch & enjoyed breakfast after checking out at the local bakery. Great hosts, great location, great cabin."

"Our experience was perplexing from the start, with directions so inadequate that we had to ask the way. When we arrived I was attacked by geese at large in the grounds. Despite profuse apologies from the owner's wife, and the geese then confined to a wired pen, the owner said he wouldn't be lectured, walking away when I offered some advice on the facilities. "Lovely weekend stay in the Shepherds hut. Comfortable bed for a great nights sleep. Beautiful and peaceful location. Great shower. All the facilites required in the shared kitchen area. "

"Accommodation was ok, the weekend was a bit of a let down due to the weather. The property was comfortable and we made use of the Hot tub. A bit of maintenance is required on the sinks in the bathroom and toilet they are loose. We went to the Star public house that was recomended and we were not disappointed. The owners are lucky having this property in such a nice area. Overall we had a good time"

"Amazing Hotel. Reception staff very professional friendly and helpful. Excellent check-in experience. Hotel is lovely inside and great facilities. There was an event on the evening we arrived and the hotel was full. We were given a room on the road / motorway side and were we concerned about noise from inside and from the road but we couldn’t hear a thing. Double glazed windows plus secondary glazing was very effective. The air con was effective. The room was lovely. We will definitely be going back to this hotel. Highly recommended."
