"Perfect place to stay! No frills but had everything we needed. Rooms are comfortable and the shared kitchen space is great to cook dinner or make coffee. Host that greeted us was helpful and kind! We had a beautiful view of the mountains and watched the northern lights for over an hour right outside the hotel! Many wonderful memories, would definitely stay here again."

"Vibes here are immaculate, very artsy every room if full of installations even inside the actual room I was staying in. Basic buffet hostel breakfast, pancakes were good. Kitchen has an oven which is a big plus. Plenty of kitchen amenities. Unique stay would def sat again if I come back to Iceland."

"This is a gem of a hotel in a very remote area. There is a way to walk down to the rock beach (and nature trail that leads to Arnarstapi Cliffs). So beautiful! We ate a delicious dinner at the hotel and the included breakfast was great."

"We absolutely loved this place. Met or exceeded all expectations. Clean and classy common areas and rooms. Black Church is locked up, leaves us peeking through windows at other tourists peeking from other side. Nice dune/beach hike. Great place to unwind for a few days"

"Modern design. We appreciated the floor to ceiling windows with beautiful views of Kirkjufell and the bay. Heaters worked well. Kitchen appliances all worked well. Comfortably bedding. Previous individuals who booked the place took the key so no key was available to us to use during the stay so we could not lock the accommodation. No towels in the accommodation for us to use for the evening we checked in. No response despite calling/texting both numbers provided and messaging through Expedia. We had to grab towels in the morning for ourselves from the next door accommodation. We received a response only at noon the following day and were brought towels that afternoon. The shower is a clean design, but the floor pitch is poor and water goes all over the bathroom floor. The owners know this and provide a large squeegee-like mop for you to manage this. Overall, outstanding location and views. I hope the managers will work on better communication and fix the floor pitch to improve the experience."
