"Interesting concept. Smart room was nice. Clean. Good pillows and mattress. Shower allowed for precise water temperature control. Large mirror and windows, no telephone, though, to reach reception easily. Checking in was very short having completed pre-check-in the prior day. Hotel close to public transport, grocery store, convenience store and restaurants. Had difficulties initially with the internet. Staff were not helpful, did not check if there was an actual internet outage, just blamed the ‘storm’ and stated that they normally did have internet. That was not reassuring. In the end it seems there was no prolonged outage, rather, it seems to have been a problem with the login page not popping up. But that took a while to figure out and I would have expected staff to be more helpful. Breakfast was reasonable but not good enough for the price I paid for it. Would I stay here again? Probably. This like any other hotel at Gateway Gardens commands a premium. I would likely skip breakfast and simply get something from the grocery store. I would also check for more recent reviews online that could indicate internet issues. I liked the room itself quite a bit."

"Comfortable place to stay while awaiting an early morning flight. Shuttle service runs 24/7 every 20 minutes. It worked perfectly and the ride to the terminal is only 5-10 minutes. Note: There are several restaurants in the hotel but only one was open for dinner. It provided a simple but good meal. Room amenities good, with comfortable bed, coffee maker, etc."

"Fantastic hotel! We were flying out of Frankfurt after a 2 week tour of Germany so I wanted a couple of days there to check out the city (shopping) and this was the perfect location. The hotel is modern (the decor a little too out there for my taste, 90's Vegas neon flashing lights and blasting music but it was fine). For the first time our entire trip we were put in a room far from the elevator so was quiet (well besides construction outside but that wasn't the hotel's fault). Everything was walkable with tons of shopping and restaurants nearby. The room was spacious with great amenities like bathrobes/slippers, coffee pod machine, and a bar fridge which was great. The breakfast was fantastic, one of the best ones our entire 2 week trip which even included made to order eggs/omelettes, a huge selection of loose leaf teas and they even had vegan items. You know its a good hotel when you see cruise ships using it as well as local airlines for their flight staff! Only negative is there was a very foul odour coming from the drain in the bathroom that gave a funky smell to the room otherwise it was perfect. I can't comment on parking, we decided to return our car early so we could just walk as we didn't want to deal with a car downtown plus they had very high parking rates. All in all I would definitely stay here again!"
