"This is one of my favourite hotels. It’s absolutely beautiful and all the rooms are done to a 5* standard. The breakfasts are amazing as well. Thank you Michael for another lovely stay. "
"The property was located in a quiet picturesque setting, greeted and supported very professionally by the owner. A very spacious, well appointed property.
Fantastic location a mere 5 minute drive to Newcastle airport, yet off the flight path so slept perfectly. "
"Nice looking hotel with attentive staff in quiet location but still close to city centre. Breakfast good. Our room (in the attic) was too hot but we stayed during a heat wave. EV charger was ridiculously expensive but apparently they have plans to change provider. Relaxing short stay and will likely return."
"Good location, parking was available although we had to pay for it. The double beds were on the small size, bedroom furniture looked quite old, and the mattresses were a bit soft for us. Easy self check in process and quiet rooms."

Railway Cottage Retreat:15min walk to Beach:Beautiful Coastline: Parking: Wifi
10/10 Excellent
"The cottage lovely and is just what you need as a home from home. It is very clean and warm. My family enjoyed our time here.
The kitchen is well stocked with cutlery and crockery and the dining room especially has beautiful lighting. At the moment the area outside the cottage is anything but restful with major renovations well underway to the railway.
Parking is mentioned on the website, but the dirt track leading to it is very narrow and full of potholes. However, we were able to park on the road outside the cottages."
Located on the gateway to Northumberland, an ideal base for exploring the coast.

"From the booking, contact with the host Stuart, instructions and everything about the property was all A* will definitely recommend and definitely book again"
