"Property is very well maintained and the only place I have ever stayed at that where the owner actually had back up propane tanks. The views are better then the pictures, you almost don't even need to leave. I ended up tweaking my back at the black canyon so I didn't do everything I wanted to do in the area, but the well maintained hot tub made it better before the ride home. The stars were amazing, as it is in a dark sky area. I am a beginner astronomer/ astrophotography, and brought my telescope, it will take me a month to go through everything. Even if you don't have a telescope bring some binoculars you'll see some cool stuff. When it's really dry the creek gets diverted to the city, luckly it rained a little when I got there so it fired up as I was in the back having a camp fire. The only thing that was slightly annoying is there is a squirrel in the attic, which made it a little hard to sleep in, but it's quiet during the night though, and has no way to get in the house. (that stuff happens when your in the country) Overall I give it 5 stars, I had a awsome time. -Thanks Rick."

"Our stay at Camel's Garden was exactly what we needed. We booked a suite and it was huge, very comfortable and we looked forward to coming back to the room each night. Staff was very friendly. For the price, it would have been nice if parking had been included, especially with the suite, but the $20 charge was okay and not excessive. Breakfast was just only okay with essentially only bagels and yogurt parfaits, the they did provide salmon, cream cheese, tomatoes, etc. For the price of the room(s), we thought there might be more protein choices. The breakfast staff was great though and it was sufficient. The setting of the hotel is perfect just beside the gondola to San Sofia and Mountain Village so it's well positioned. The hot dog stand next to the hotel also was a plus with a great Chicago-style hotdog. Be sure to take the river walking path just behind the hotel as well. "Off" for mosquitoes is recommended. When we come back to Telluride, we'll be sure to stay at Camel's Garden."

"Up scale hotel , healthy walking distance to town. Our room was over the underground parking garage and we heard the door opener every time a car entered or left. It was shoulder season so that didnt happen often. The room was absolutely gorgeous with a patio surrounded by trees to block you from the road."

"Very nice comfortable rooms and a great price. Be aware - There is a very long and steep set of stairs you must climb to get to the rooms though. Excellent contact with the manager about getting room code. Restaurant on bottom floor and multiple restaurant options on the Main St one block over. Will definitely stay there again if we travel that direction."

"Wow! What am improvement from two years ago. I love the new bar and restaurant, worth a visit whether you're staying there or not. They usually have live music and they're opening up a beer garden in the near future. It's one of the nicest restaurants/bars in Ridgway today! I'm not a big fan of the "runners." I'm not sure what they do that instead of servers, I think they should rethink that system. The rooms are clean and updated, they are a little small but very good for the price. The staff is excellent from top to bottom! Well worth a visit, I'll be back!"
