"We were a bit confused upon arriving because there was no staff present. I forgot to view the message that had the room number and room code in it so once I found that we were great. It was very comfortable and a very nice room. The fire alarm went off right before 7 AM and there was a strong burning smell downstairs. However, soon we learned that someone had put a pizza box in the oven to warm up the pizza and it caught fire. It was extinguished quickly in the shower and everything was back to normal."

"Cute hotel. Slightly dated but seems like it’s currently being renovated, so no complaints there. The pool area had a fireplace! I wanna go and swim when that’s running! The breakfast left much to be desired. I am vegan and my options were incredibly limited - the oatmeal packets seemed to be out of date (very hard packed seasoning and the oats never really “puffed up”) and I’m used to having peanut butter at hotels to get some protein and they had none. The other people in my group are not vegan and said the breakfast was generally lame. Shared my feelings on peanut butter. I was disappointed bc reviews had specifically mentioned a good breakfast."

After-Dune Delight! Large Home w/ Heated Pool

"Communication with the owner was absolutely wonderful. Location was just so perfect; close to the lake, national park and state park. Restaurants nearby also was a benefit. The backyard was our favorite part - nice big pool and deck; well maintained, enclosed porch when it rained, outside table for meals on the deck. Our kids were always in the pool; really comfortable chairs by the pool. In our case we wished the 2nd bathroom was upstairs; or a bedroom was downstairs, but we made it work just fine. Overall house was just like a regular ranch home; I would say there were small things that needed "touched up" like paint etc, chairs which broke, but it really did fit all of our needs just fine. We would use it again just for that great pool !!!"

"The house was beautiful…exactly as shown. The host, Jen, was very responsive to my many questions. And I appreciate her kindness. The property is huge so if you have children, there is a very big yard to run and play. Kitchen and grill area were very well stocked. It’s very close to both the state and national parks. Wonderful place to stay while visiting. Looking forward to making a return visit!!"

"This property was perfect!!! The view, the proximity to the beach, the beach, the toys/chairs/umbrella/paddle boards/boogie board/etc available for use, the deck….everything was amazing!!! The owners make everything easy (a binder of info and everything in the house is labeled) and they respond quickly if you need to connect with them for any reason!!! The cabin was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay (fire pit, grill, outdoor seating as well as all the dishes, towels, typical home amenities)!!! Truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience!!!!"
