"Really excellent location in an old building. Close to lots of sights. There's 1 window on the bedroom which is large but high up so you can only see the street if you stand on the ledge to see out. Air conditioning is only allowed from June to September but due to hot weather we requested to use it in may which was allowed by the owner. I wasn't aware of this law and I didn't see it on the listing. Maybe missed it but I tried hard to find it afterwards so if it is there it's not obvious."

"All the staff we encountered were excellent, being most helpful on arrival as we were a little before check in and the housekeeper, Anna did everything she could to help with luggage and car arrangements as there is No parking on-site. Parking is 30 euro per day. Carolina was fabulous with her recommendations for restaurants and letting us know that the streets were closed on our departure day and helping us coordinate a plan with luggage loading with the garage. "The staff members were friendly, spoke great English and provided bag check service after our stay ended. They also gave us restaurant suggestions and let us know where to do laundry. The suite itself was straightforward and everything in the listing was as such during our stay. Note there is a key for the elevator and a key for the suite itself. We found that the keys were not the easiest to use during our stay. Florence is a very walkable city and our location was around a 20 minute walk on...

"Fantastic location & a super friendly Vanesa. Outside the room its a bit noisy at night but it’s a great location so that’s 100% forgiven. It’s also up 4 flights of stairs but the lift takes care of that. Well recommended."

"We visited several cities during our trip to Rome and this was the best hotel we stayed in the whole time. Check in was easy. The room had a wonderful balcony, and the balcony had a great view of the main shopping street. Great food and shopping were right there! The room was comfortable and quiet. The shower was fantastic. I don't have a single bad thing to say about this place other than I wish we could have stayed in that hotel room longer. Highly recommend this hotel! "

"This is a unique and quirky hotel. We’re made to feel very welcome. Excellent honesty bar area with free tea and coffee and fruit. Breakfast was excellent. Rooms are decorated in an individual stylish way. A wonderful garden is available to have breakfast or sit in the evening. All in all a great treat to stay at One small issue was that one room upon initial entry had a sewerage smell which went when the windows were opened. "

"We loved staying at CASA Di Palaia, our room was amazing. We loved the steam bath, it was a good surprise as we didn’t know it was there. My fiancé used it each day as he loves steam rooms. Especially came in handy when it rained. The breakfast they put out, Such a great selection of some meat, cheese, breads and pastries. Some yogurt, granola and fruits to choose from. Took a drive out to Greve, wow beautiful little spot. Brought back a meat tray lunch back to B&B, to enjoy on our private...
