"Quite conflicted about this property. Overall, my stay was good but there were a few things that brought the experience down. Pros: location is good, close to everything but quiet area. Rooms are decent size. Swimming pool a plus. Generally rooms are quiet i.e, minimal neighbour noise. Cons: a Ryanair hotel: additional charges for sauna, bathrobe, slippers. Just reclassify as a 3 star maybe & this would be more acceptable. I had to move room as despite asking for quiet room, I was given one above the service entrance. Awakened at 4am by whole room vibrating as the laundry was collected. To be fair, I was moved to a nicer room the next day. However, in this room, the water was extremely hot in the sink and the shower head was leaking terribly. Again, to be fair, these issues were fixed the day I reported them. However, other aspects of service were not as good. Check in was lacklustre, it’s self check in which is fine but nothing explained: ie need to request room cleaning/clean cups/glasses, water in lobby, charges. And whilst I was moved & requested fixes, no-one ever followed up with me to check all was okay. Requests for clean glasses not fulfilled twice. And finally there was a weird vibrating noise from ceiling in new room what was not fixed (although seems there was an attempt as I spotted paint flecks on the floor). I was able to mask with pink noise so slept fine but again lack of follow up. Beds also quite firm. I would book again but hope for better service."

"Great location right next to the cathedral and the city centre, with the train station being a few minutes walk. Its a wonderfully well kept hotel and the single room I had was very comfortable and the Wifi excellent. The staff were very helpful and the reception is manned 24/7. Breakfast is excellent and caters for a range of dietary requirements,"

"We picked this hotel because of it's central location and the fact that it was right off one of the canals. We had no idea this was practically next door to my wife's favorite pub from the early 90s. We enjoyed our stay here and hope to return some day."
