"Maybe when you live on top of hot springs it’s hard to keep a place looking sharp. The place looks and feels like it needs a good scrub, some dyi handiwork and a fresh coat of paint. The valley the room looks over is “nice”, but not stunning. The hot tubs are a bit rough but a wonderful place to sit after 30 hours of flying. Food was fine. This was our first night of 10 in Iceland so we didn’t know what to expect. It wasn’t the worst but certainly not the best."
"Staff were helpful--went out of their way to help me find a pair of glasses. The greenhouse theme makes the place unique with a cozy feel, and the on-site food options as well as the 24/7 store is a superb perk not to be taken for granted in Iceland! Only complaints are a couple of old stains on the bedsheets (minor), and the blackout curtains don't really block the bottom of the window well--however, the easy workaround is to just set the couch cushions up against that area.
