"This was a very disappointing stay. First of all it was difficult to find(google maps takes you to an apartment block!) and if looking fir a golf course as in a previous review states, the nearest one is 3miled away! It is on a housing estate and an hours walk from Tours centre. The villa itself is beautiful. However the owner has little English and it is difficult to find him when you need him! We were not given a WiFi code and had to ask about parking and code to get back in at night. The bed...

"We stayed here to visit the small where my ancestors were from. The Chateau was very charming and comfortable. James and Celine were wonderful hosts and so helpful- our trains were inconvenient and James kindly gave us a ride to the town and next train station. The breakfast was very good. The town of Montlouis itself is very small with not much to see but James reccomended nearby Ambois has castles and many things see and do. "

"More of a "Bed & Breakfast"-type stay than a hotel, we had a large bedroom with a bathroom and access to a shared kitchenette on the same floor. The room was clean and comfortable and Mary was friendly and helpful. It is a short walk across the bridge to the downtown area with all the shops and restaurants. I had no problem finding street parking but the streets are very narrow."

"The two of us had a delightful stay at Le Petite Vigne. We were cycling town to town and there was a place to secure our bikes which we appreciated. The house is lovely, old and full of character. "We had a wonderful time at Les Closeaux! The kids played tennis and the pool was clean and warm. The area surrounding the gites was beautiful- we took several long walks. The meal we had in the restaurant was absolutely delicious! All five of us loved our meals! We also used the barbecue one night to cook out. The gite had everything we needed to prepare a meal. We had a great experience here!!"
