"Firstly Anni is an excellent host. Great communications throughout with plenty of ideas and local information.... and more when you meet her! We had a couple of minor issues whilst staying there, but once again she was fantastic and sorted them out quickly! The Gite is what I would describe as typical for the area. Quite dark inside, but lots of character. Clean on arrival and had all we needed. Pool was well used by us, better on hot days.... bit nippy on moderate days! All in all a good...

"Erick and Isabelle's house was simply delightful. Spacious, comfortable, quiet, beautifully furnished and exceptionally well- equipped for our 2 week stay. They were lovely hosts, always happy to offer advice/recommendations on where to eat/visit. Welcome basket of delicious local produce was gratefully received too! Star of the show has to be Goose the dog who gleefully joined in the river swimming! Thoroghly enjoyed our stay!"

"House was beautifully well equipped, immaculately clean and tidy. It’s in an excellent location only 15 minutes from Carcassonne but with absolute peace and quiet. Local pool in the Village was great in the heat. The local butcher carries bread, pastries, preserves and lovely wine, not forgetting meat. Laurence was wonderful with ideas of where to visit, and was available for anything we needed but otherwise very discreet."

"A wonderful gite in the most stunning countryside - beautiful views, wonderful wine and history all around with the Cathar castles and Carcassonne all close by. We had a wonderful week and wish we could have stayed in our tranquil little hideaway for ever. The gite was very clean and comfortable and well-equipped, we didn't want for anything. Annie-Claude was a wonderful hostess and was extremely helpful to us. When Willilam is older it would be great to bring him back to run around the hills..."

The location feels remote ( a lovely little village with a gorgeous backdrop of hills & mountains) but is a short ten minute drive to get everything you might need. We loved the terrace (& the sun!) "If you are looking for peace and beauty, then the situation of this home is perfect. Every day you will be greeted by two fab ponies and inquisitive chickens. Yes, a car is needed for exploring, but there was something so relaxing about coming home to the tranquility of the countryside. Plenty of walks nearby and only a couple of hours from the Pyranees, I would recommend this home if you are looking for an escape."

"I wanted something different than the ordinary. I was struck by the photos and descriptions. Even though a wide angle lens was used, but I knew that. The house was nicely furnished with virtually all one could need in the kitchen. My sister and I are both over 70 and the stairs were a bit challenging as they were steep. The WC is on the bottom floor only so keep that in mind if you have any mobility issues. But that is very clear in the information. Our hostess was very kind and available!!...

"Everything was great, location, check in , cleanliness only downside is that if there are noisy guests in the other units as we had on the second and third nights , you can hear them too easily. Everything else was great"

"Perfect mix of rustic charm and mod cons. Very quiet and private pool area with extra outdoor towels, good parasol and comfy loungers. Useful extra touches like amazing BBQ, sharp knives, bluetooth speaker, mosquito supplies, etc.. Short walk to Esperaza, which is a friendly town with some good bars and restaurants. Thank you 😊"

"This gite has superb views from a south facing balcony which would be a sun trap in good weather (we were unfortunate and had two unusually wet days out of four!). The cottage is small but there’s plenty of space for two people with comfortable twin beds and comfortable chairs in a sitting area. There is a very good modern shower in a wet room. The kitchen is quite well equipped with hob, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave/oven. There was a kettle for brits, and a coffee maker. The...

"The only negatives I have for this property are that the hot water went away very quickly, there was no stopper for the bathtub, and the automatic lights were hard to turn on in the morning out in the hallway. It’s walkable distance to cite de carcassonne, but it is on the far end of town, pretty far away from the train station. It took me about 45 minutes in the rain. "
