There are more than eighty species of kingfisher around the world, but only one is native to Britain. Our kingfisher makes its home in dense cover near slow-flowing fresh water such as canals, lakes and rivers in lowland areas. If you are extremely lucky, and the possessor of a large pond, you may spot the occasional kingfisher gliding through your garden. In the UK, southern regions are blessed with healthy populations, but kingfishers become scarce further north and are rarely sighted in Scotland.

Kingfishers are protected from being disturbed on or near an active nest. Please take care not to go too close to a nest as this may cause parents to abandon eggs or chicks.

"When it says “ Sea View” it means it . Clear view of the bay all the way to the Port of Felixstowe. Very close ( 100 metres) to the beach but on a quiet campus away from the noisy seaside “ attractions “. It is the old Sanitorium to the now closed Felixstowe College. As such the doors and corridors are wide and the rooms spacious. Each room has a door onto the private patio. The rest of the campus seems to be posh flats . "Lovely quaint cottage with absolutely everything you need...and more. We parked outside the village hall due to difficulty getting in and out of driveway with cars parked opposite. The garden was beautiful and we enjoyed our time sitting out there. Good location and Morrisons less than 5 mins drive away. The only negative is that it is right on a busy road and the cars drive very fast through the village."

"We booked Oak Cottage as it had a great location. It was very peaceful there but also gave easy access to places to eat and shops. The cottage was well equipped and the kitchen wanted for nothing.Inside the cottage was spacious and well furnished. Plenty of comfy beds in the three bedrooms.Even outside the patio had comfy sofas to sit out in the evening.We intend to go back soon Would recommend this cottage to anyone who likes a peaceful location with easy access to all the amenities that...
