"We booked this property as a girl holiday getaway for my 40th birthday celebrations. Overall we had a nice stay and found the location great to be able to visit some really stunning towns and villages nearby including Dome, Rocamadour and also had the opportunity to do cannoing in the Dordogne river as it’s such a great spot for it. In terms of the house itself, it had the main things we wanted but I wish the outside area by the pool would have had more greenery or at least a bit of grass....

"2 usesble bathrooms, not 4. Clean but lacking any comfort. One, twoseater sofa for 11 people, no other seating except dining chairs. The cupboards are full of someones effects, this lets the property down. The grounds were lovely but overgrown, balcony views obscured by plant growth, disappointing. The ground was wet all the time because grass was uncut. No hot tub, no spa. No sunbeds. Garden furniture very basic. No WiFi. We paid extra for sheets snd towels but these were very poor; dirty...

"Nous avons passé 2 semaines en famille avec des enfants/ados chez Olivier en Août. La maison est très agréable à vivre, très bien meublée et équipée, literie au top. La campagne environnante est très calme et magnifique. Nous y étions pendant la semaine chaude en août, les murs de pierre, la redescente importante des température pendant la nuit et la piscine nous ont permis de passer cette période sans la subir. "Fantastic views over the surrounding countryside and absolute peace and quiet. The property is exactly as the photos and description, with top quality appliances and spotlessly clean. A mix of modern and traditional French building. Very friendly and helpful owners, who live adjacent to the property but keep to themselves, although they only speak and email in French. Note the property is 2.5km outside Cales, the nearest boulangerie is 7km away in the next village and supermarket 25km away in...

"What a great stay! The house and setting were beautiful, the pool was an absolute delight, the river was close by and deliciously cooling and everything was high quality, worked well and had been thoroughly thought through. Highly recommended. The only thing that could have improved it would be air conditioning in all the bedrooms rather than just the largest. All round though it was superb."

The home is exceptionally well furnished with very elegant features… many big windows, great outside lounging areas, swimming pool, and a well equipped kitchen.
