Vale of Belvoir, looking west from Belvoir Castle. Woodland and fields across the near centre of photo are in the square SK8033. The Vale of Belvoir (pronounced Beever) is a large area of agricultural land bounded by long hills, one of which I was standing on when I took this photo. The shallow ridge in the middle distance is typical. The Vale villages are built on these ridges.
