"I stayed here for 2 nights and the staff was really friendly. The check in process was easy, note that the check in times on hotels.com are not correct and you can check in later. I'd contact the hotel to confirm. They spoke multiple languages at the hotel, which was helpful and were very nice. The restaurant was really good for dinner and reasonably priced. The room itself was nice. I booked the 4 person room for 2 people to have extra space and it was worth it. The regular rooms were standard European size, which is smaller than American hotel rooms. Note like other European hotels, it didn't look like there was air conditioning. This is common in European hotels. The room was very clean and the staff came to clean the room everyday. Also, to keep a quiet atmosphere for guests, you are not supposed to use the elevator after 10pm. The hotel has 3 floors so max it is 2 flights of stairs. As my room was near the elevator, I appreciated this. The parking is across the street and next to the hotel with easy access. I would stay here again if I visited Oberhaslach. I would reserve the bigger room again though to have extra space. "

"Peaceful location with very easy access to the forest for dog walking. Comfortable beds with one downstairs bedroom, and three beds upstairs. One upstairs bedroom (with 1 double bed) is accessed through the other (with 2 double beds) with a door in between, which was perfectly OK for us, but something to be aware of if you are friends who are not as familiar with one another. Bathroom and separate toilet are downstairs. Kitchen is small, but has everything we needed for over a week's stay, with plenty of cutlery and crockery and a big fridge/freezer. Julia and Phillipe were lovely hosts. Phillipe popped round every now and again to check on the water in the spa - good to know the safety of the water quality is monitored. He was fabulous with my large, enthusiastic dog, and despite what he says his English is pretty good! Better than my still- developing French. We were visiting friends in the nearby village of La Petite-Pierre and I found I could walk there in around 1 hour through the forest along part of the route of one of the long distance trails. If you plan to do any walking, I recommend downloading one of the walking apps (eg Outdooractive/Alltrails) so you can track where you are and not get lost! I found the best place to take the dog on the morning walk was up past the town hall and children's playground, continuing straight up when the road bears round to the right, you are very soon in the forest with miles of tracks. I hardly saw anyone on my daily walks."

"The room was basic but comfortable and clean. Great view from the balcony. Above all, the amazing hospitality of Fabric was outstanding - genuinely friendly, huge character. He generously recommended a shop where i could buy delices - and took the trouble to drew me a map of how to get there the following morning. Oh, and did I forget to say? the food and wines were superb! Merci bien Fabrice et tout l'equipe! Je reviendrai..."
