"Athenium was an easy walk to Comerica Park and to downtown. We always felt safe. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. No complaints!"

"Didn’t like the fact that my 10 year old wasn’t able to swim. Doesn’t make sense. Will be choosing a different hotel in Detroit during our next visit in September. "

"I was attending a memorial service and the Westin was a short distance away. I also had family living within walking distance so it was really convenient. Check-in was quick and easy, but the parking garage is a bit of a mess. When staff from the nearby buildings are in the office, it can be tough to find a parking spot near the hotel entrance. I arrived at the restaurant right at opening time, and it was very confusing. There are signs asking you to wait to be seated, but then staff at the bar and walking through the restaurant acted like they did not see me standing there. There was a couple already seated when I arrived, so I was not sure what was happening. I was finally seated and then noticed the restaurant seemed short staffed. My server was taking orders, helping at the bar, bussing tables, etc. The good arrived within a reasonable time of ordering. It was hot and filling. Given its convenient location, I'd stay at the Westin again. "

"Overall it was very comfortable. A few small things need to be fixed, for example the toilet paper and towel holders in the bathroom were loose and coming out of the walls (they were installed without the required set screws). And when the bedroom door was closed the whole place shook (because it needs a little felt thing so it doesn't hit wood directly on metal). But suite was large and had everything. "
