"Great old fashioned hotel. We had a newly refurbished room was excellent. The breakfast was great. Pity the lift isn’t working I do think people should be made aware of this and all the building work that is going on. For some elderly people this is a main concern For the two nights we were there we had a great time and were made very welcome "

"A great property with leisure facilities and parking close to Durham (<10 minute drive or park and ride opposite carriageway) Room was lovely but surprised no air conditioning or fridge and it did get a little hot overnight "

"Return visit like the area about 20-25 mins walk downhill to Whitby harbour area. Bus stop by school or Sainsburys minutes away. Bedrooms clean and big for 2 people. Staff very friendly and helpful. Car parking free and if u forgot anything there is a sainsburys fee mins walk away Breakfast has various choices to suit different appetite too and family friendly. Would return again"
