"Beautiful pool and landscaping"

"This was a lovely, luxurious place to stay. Truly a 5* hotel. + Very clean everywhere + Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to help + Excellent amenities, especially the dive centre + Food was nice + Pools were great + Buggy service was useful + Good location for a variety of activities + WiFi coverage was excellent - On site retail could be improved - TV was unreliable (this didn't matter to us much) - No labelling of food allergens: The buffet at Dapur was nice however limited for Gluten Free travellers. They did not have GF pasta and could not make GF crepes. There also seemed to be a big lack of understanding regarding cross contamination/GF. When I asked on the first day what was suitable for me, a chef came out and pointed at a few dishes saying "maybe" and shrugging. I was pretty much left to guess. They did make me GF pancakes/waffles for breakfast however this took a long time to arrive. One chef (Mi?) was really good and actually told me I couldn't have the GF waffles due to cross contamination despite being given them the day before by a different person. I did get sick once after eating something that was "maybe" GF (it wasn't!) Overall, we enjoyed our stay"

"The beach was clean and pristine. The hotel has a variety of sporting activities you can sign up for and you can also take part in baby turtle release. The hotel staff are friendly. Hotel breakfast buffet is so so. The only downside is the beach has lots of sandflies, two weeks after our return the sandflies bites still itches. Indeed the use of insect repellent is necessary. The hotel does provide repellent near the beach. We stayed in the two-bedroom hillview deluxe room. The room was spacious for my family consisting of two adults and two children. The room does come across as dated and needs some renovation. Some parts of the room (e.g the bathroom countertops) was also not well cleaned so housekeeping needs improvement. "

"Unbelievable beach and the water was incredible! You can snorkel right from the beautiful white sand beach. Buy (or bring) a good mask and you are all set. Head to Long Beach for some better food if you wish. Book the beachfront rooms if you can...it is worth the few.extra bucks. Pool is nice. You will not be disappointed as long as you don't mind a taxi ride from one of the close cities and a 35-45 minute boat shuttle! Worth the travel there 100%! Enjoy!"

"What a great place to stay on Perhentian island (Greater)! A real gem. Location is perfect with 3 beaches in walking distance (one right next to the accommodation). We stayed in a seafront view family room and it was amazing waking up to the beautiful view. The rooms are spacious, clean, comfy beds, plenty of pillows, fridge, AC, a big fan on the ceiling. Big screen tv is connected to wifi so we were able to watch some of our favourite programs before bed. Spacious balcony - stepping out of it -> stepping into the restaurant. Staff are super helpful, professional, friendly. We strongly recommend this place. We would definitely come back if we come to East Malaysia again. "

"This a good basic hotel. It offers clean comfortable rooms. The reception guy is awesome and helpful. There is no pool or food service on the premises. There are some items for sale in the lobby which are snacks and toiletries and most importantly mosquito spray! The hotel is at an easy distance (disregarding the condition of the pathway) from Long Beach and Coral Beach which there are many restaurants and activities available. The grounds are well maintained as well as the rooms. Cons: Mosquitoes and limited to little to no hot water. Out of 5 days, I had hot water for 3.5 days. The receptionist booked transportation (tractor with trailer) for a pickup and transfer to the pier. This is a big plus if you have a lot of luggage. "

"Dirty hotel, the matress was very old and the room was very dirty. Seems that wasn't cleaned before the arrival. It's sad because it has the best spot on the beach. If the hotel changes and take care of the costumers it will be top but sadly, not now"

"Location and guest service were amazing. Staff is very friendly and approachable however the building itself requires some improvements like paintings, renovations and bathroom upgrade. There are loads of minor jobs that could be done in one day sp bungalows wpuld look much better. I would invest more money to create executive suits fpr higjer standards."
