What a beautiful hotel! I appreciated all the interesting artifacts, photos and information on all the walls. It was a little bit like a museum. It was easy to get to shopping and restaurants, just about everything we wanted was in walking distance. The room was comfortable and the bathtub was huge. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Beautiful, historic landmark hotel for the area. The Port lounge downstairs, staff, and food were amazing. The establishment's unique history was intriguing. The friendly,approachable staff were terrific.

Loved the history baked right into the hotel itself. Great recommendations from front desk staff. We appreciate hotel cleaning staff honoring our wishes to not have our room cleaned during our two nights stay — we’re pretty clean and don’t use that many of the complimentary items to need a restock😊. Dinner and breakfast at Scarlet were delicious— also great staff!

We enjoyed our time at the St James Hotel and in Red Wing. The restaurants in the hotel are excellent and more reasonably priced than some hotel restaurants are. Our room was a little small with just one small window and the mattress is soft and sags toward the middle.

Great for a short get away

We had a great stay. The hotel is very historic and has has been kept in great condition with all of it historic charm in place. Our room was very cool, but also spacious and comfortable. The downtown area has lots of cute shops and places to eat. Its a very scenic location, great for a short getaway. The restaurants and bars in the hotel are very good as well.

Beautiful room! Loved it. The hotel is wonderfully historical. The food was excellent but both times we went to the restaurant, we were told they didn't have tables for three, which seemed odd with the number of empty tables. However, we did end up being seated both times.
