"Tons of homeless around outdoor pool made it an unsafe choice to allow kids to swim in the evening. The outside of building looks pretty run down including parking lot. Would not recommend family with young kids."

"The bathroom door drug on the floor and would only open about two feet. to get in and out and was very difficult to close completely. Our shower had mold under the caulking over several feet around the bottom of the shower. The carpet was sticky in some areas. The dresser drawers didn't all pull out. It was double price for a Saturday night versus Sunday night."

"Lovely room with a great view. Staff is excellent. Location is absolutely perfect: There's a streetcar stop directly outside that drops you off at the Plaza on one end and tons of other attractions on the other end — Union Station, World War I Memorial, much more. Westport restaurants are very close by. CONS: The food is vastly overpriced and middling at best. The breakfast buffet is currently $25 per person and the food is not better than you'd get at any breakfast buffet. I don't mind paying that much for a meal, but the quality was nowhere near the price, both there and in the bar restaurant, where the food was also actively not great. Also: Stop charging for Wi-Fi. $15 a day so we could stream tv to a laptop (Netflix login was available on the television but froze every time we tried to use it). There is no non-greed reason to do this in the year 2026. Still, overall a good experience."

"Clean hotel, friendly staff, 420 friendly in courtyard. Need to replace the matteres they are pretty worn out. Towels were starting to fray and getting thin"

"Pro's: Covered, secure parking - albeit expensive. Very comfy beds - pillowtop. Bar in the lobby is great and bar food was excellent. Location great for main street and the street car. Cons: pretty filthy. Rooms are not clean, so if you are a clean freak, this may not be the hotel for you. Beds were clean "looking," but bathrooms, walls, closets, doors, handles, etc. filthy. Cleaning staff need a supervisor and quality control. Our co2 alarm was ripped out of the wall, just sitting on a ledge. Hallways are dingy and dark. Guest rooms and halls all need an update - especially the old bathrooms. Breakfast: We paid for daily buffet in advance, unfortunately, buffet is not available if the hotel is low on guests (to "save money and waste.")We were asked to order off a menu and select only 1 entree -no extras. (could not add fruit or oatmeal, for example without paying extra.) Also, gratuity expected because buffet switched to menu service. Food was poor quality in general - cheap ingredients. Very greasy. Coffee awful. My toast was the heel of a cheap loaf of wheat. Honestly, don't pay for the breakfast. There is an amazing bagel cafe at 13th and Main Meshuggahs. Go there. I guess what bugged me the most about breakfast was the server's attitude - acting as if she had no clue why we asking about a buffet when I could see the room behind her with all the buffet serving vessels arranged. She knew what we were confused about."

"I liked the rooms, breakfast and pool area. I did not like that no one informed me that there was water available in hall and food area, so instead I had to buy three bottles of water the first night."
