"We found the School House was a lovely place to stay. It had a really nice patio out the back to sit in. My only criticism is that the steep stairs needs another hand rail on the other side as I found it difficult to get up and down the stairs. There was plenty of wood and coal for the fire"

"My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Syke's House. The room was very clean, well-appointed, and comfortable. The daily breakfast was excellent, and there was so much of it. Helen and Graeme are super friendly and a wealth of knowledge on the town and the surrounding area. They also run a village shop on the ground floor. We would definitely stay here again!!"

"Very good cottage. Lots of things to do in the area walking wise which is ideal for us as we love walking with our boxer dog. Very cosy at night with the fire on. It was the perfect stay for us at Christmas. Would 100% recommend!!"
