This is a perfectly good option for a short stay in the Rapid City area, such as for a flight cancellation and last-minute hotel needs. The front desk attendee was kind and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable and quiet. The building is a bit old but is apparently getting a renovation. Look, it's not the Hilton, but it's a good 2-star hotel option!

We checked in and drove to the side entrance closer to our room and two of the guests were in handcuffs with the police clearly called to a domestic. We went to our room which had stains on the furniture, carpet and fabric desk chair. We left the hotel and did not return. Was a good rate and oddly, well rated--frustrating to be a late reservation that was non-refundable.

The wonderful ladies that checked us in were phenomenal (Davina & the gal she was training). The breakfast was awful. All the hot food was cold inside. We had to ask several times for our room to be clean and for new towels. The housekeeper finally brought new towels, but didn’t replenish the toilet paper and NEVER cleaned the room. For it being recently remodeled, there is still a lot of work that needs to be done!
