We enjoyed our stay here very much. Purely pilot error we were challenged to build sufficient fire in the pit. The basket of goodies in the refrigerator was a very welcome surprise and the coffee was fabulous as we’re all the other goodies.

The cabin was very clean and well furnished. Julie was the host and really thought of everything people may need while during their stay. The farm tour is also great if you have kids coming along. It was really neat waking up in the morning and seeing deer just a few yards away from the cabin also.

Short stay, but wonderful

The cabin was just as listed. Very clean and well stocked with all of the necessities and some fun extras. It is a small cabin, and there isn’t a lot of storage space, but it should be just fine for most people. We were on the tail end of a three week trip, so we had large suitcases and a ton of extra stuff. Property is wonderful. Lovely to sit on the deck and watch the deer. Very close to Mt. Rushmore, without being in the middle of all of the tourists. We were able to beat the crowds by going early and then go back at night to watch the lighting ceremony. If we’re ever back in this area, we would stay here agajn.

Cute, clean & well stocked cabin

These are super cute cabins! More of a high class stay. They were in great location in woods with deer walking around and about 10 mins from town & Mount Rushmore. Well stocked in my opinion with snacks & coffee, toiletries, soft towels, information & maps regarding all the surrounding points of interest. She is very well organized & timely in responding to inquiries. Had a great time. Would definitely stay again.

What a great stay!

Our family (two adults, two kids) loved our stay at Yak Ridge! It was clean and had everything we would’ve needed! There were so many nice touches—hot cocoa, farm fresh eggs, slippers, travel size toiletries. The central location to area attractions was incredibly convenient, but it felt very remote at the property. Even having other cabins nearby didn’t feel too close or crowded. The assortment of games was a nice touch, they came in handy during one day during a winter storm. If we come back to the Black Hills in the future, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!
