"Excellent wood fire for the cold nights and frosty mornings we stayed. Had everything we needed plus a very comfortable bed and great shower. Location is only a few minutes drive to Ohakune with wide range of walking tracks to offer in the Tongariro National Park. Highly recommend to travellers who prefer to cook their own meals in a well resourced kitchen, staying in a place with a relaxed home away from home vibe and enjoying privacy while on holiday."

"The place was busy due to the ski season and many seasonal workers stayed there, so night time could be quite noisy. There is also a kitchen on site offering simple buffet breakfast at a cheap price and other dining options for lunch/dinner. The staff members were very friendly and helpful; there were complimentary coffee and tea at the common area 24/7, a TV and a large lounge to chill at. The kitchen was quite packed but they have air fryers which could be very useful. The room we stayed in is central-heated. Close to National Park and Whakapapa, this place is good for a short stay."
