"Staff and management very friendly and helpful. Accommodation was very comfortable with a good range of tea/coffee/biscuit selection. Happy Hour with complimentary cheese & biscuits and lots of lounge seating was great. The only issue was that the parking was expensive."

"Great location and amazing staff, especially Matthew who was so helpful and accommodating for my entire stay. Nice room with amazing view, spacious and clean. Breakfast and food in general was very nice. Noisy music from neighbouring establishments until 4am on Friday and Saturday, suggest ear plugs! Overall very happy to stay there again. Many thanks Royal Oak!"

"As an averagely priced room.. this is pretty great. For what we paid we got a massive room, big bed, nice bathroom and would have had breakfast included (we had other stuff to get to so couldn't indulge). The staff were helpful and getting in/getting settled was easy. It's attached to a pretty nice pub too, which is always a bonus. Slight negatives are: parking isn't free, the charge to borrow a travel cot was silly £15 for the night, I think) and the shower was a little run down (seal around the door going etc).. also the TV wasn't actually tuned to anything or connected to the WiFi to cast a phone. Relatively minor quibbles given what we paid and what we needed the room for. Would definitely recommend!"
