Cruise along the beautiful streets of historic Oakwood to discover this charming apartment situated in a classic Victorian-style home. The 1,800 square feet of well-appointed living space is sure to make you feel right at home, as it boasts high ceilings, hardwood floors, and abundant natural light!

As the chef of your group prepares a meal in the fully equipped kitchen, stir yourself up a refreshing cocktail at the bar stocked with glassware. When dinner is ready, gather in the formal dining area hosting an elegant 4-person table! A plush leather sofa and flat-screen cable TV also adorn this area.

On nice days, grab a novel out of the lengthy bookshelf and lounge on the covered porch for some light reading. If you need to stretch your legs out, take a stroll 2 blocks away to the gorgeous North Carolina Executive Mansion to admire the elaborate woodwork of an architectural masterpiece!

When you retire for the night, retreat to Bedroom 1 filled with a full bed and bold blue and yellow hues. An additional bedroom hosts 2 cloud-like twin-sized beds, offering a comfortable space for 2 guests to rest their heads.

Only 2 blocks east is the legendary Oakwood Cemetery, known as the final resting place of the Confederate dead. There are many other scenic spots scattered all over the city, such as Moore Square, Oakwood Park, and Mordecai Historic Park.

The city is also home to an array of museums, including the North Carolina Museum of History, North Carolina Museum of Art, and Marble Kids Museum. Handsome, spacious home in historic neighborhood

This property is spacious and very convenient to downtown Raleigh. The home has beautiful details and artwork throughout, and feels much more like a home than a rental unit. The rooms are large and the place is spacious. It's a great spot with all the amenities.

Great Location

We were there for our son's wedding weekend. The apartment was located very near downtown and in a lovely old community. I don't think the pictures accurately represent the condition of the house. Be aware there is a lot of clutter and if you are allergic to dust, I wouldn't recommend. The homeowner was pleasant but did not respond to my emails regarding questions. It was necessary to call as she did not respond to texts either.

Lovely home

A conference brought us to Raleigh, and this home is less than 5 minutes from the Convention Center. The rooms are all well-appointed, with lovely colors, furniture and objects d'art. Enjoyed our visit, and look forward to staying here again.

Great house and location

We loved this home and and the location. Lauren was very hospitable and accommadating. This is not a criticism but please be aware that there are quite a few steps to get into the house. We loved this place!

Right At Home

I met up with an old high school chum and his sons for a weekend stay in Raleigh and we needed a relaxing, off the main grid place to call home for a few days and the downtown Raleigh house fit our needs perfectly. The photos are very descriptive of the furnishes and home decor. The kitchen is well stocked and perfect for preparing home cooked meals. Beds are comfortable and the home is very clean. Lauren is easy to reach and made sure we checked in ok. We would definitely stay here again on future visits.

Wonderful home to stay in for my first visit to Raleigh!

Everything was perfect! Older neighborhood with beautiful homes. Walking distance to many good restaurants and museums and just a nice neigborhood to take long walks. The home was decorated beautifully for Christmas and was warm and cozy during the snow storm. Everything needed was supplied. Home was very clean and comfortable. Very much enjoyed my winter stay in this very special home and look forward to staying again in the future!

great location for a raleigh weekend

This place was a 5 minute walk to the wedding we were going to. Could not ask for a better location. All of the beds felt brand new with very little wear and we slept great. Even the pillows were comfortable! We did not run into the owner all weekend, so we had plenty of privacy. She lives on the second floor of the house, and you are on the first floor. We just hope we weren't too loud watching college football on Saturday! Very charming house and would definitely rent again. Our only small complaint was the WiFi internet. We were hoping to watch a second game, but the service and speed was barely enough to check emails. Thanks again Lauren!

This was a Real Gem

We were in the middle of the historical homes/buildings in Raleigh. Clean, conveinant, and nicely decorated. The owner is so friendly and helpful! We walked a couple blocks to a great place for breakfast. One day we walked to the museum. We plan to stay there again the next time we are visiting family.

Perfect!

I rented this little treasure for family from out of town. They loved the space, the location to downtown and the history of the neighborhood. Lauren was the perfect host...never intrusive but always available. A very comfortable and cozy place to come “home” to. Thank you, Lauren!
