The hospitality was great even though the abuela that owns the place is only Spanish speaking. She prepared a good breakfast daily. The room was spacious.
The location of the hotel is near the park with a metro station within it and there are 2 grocery stores across the park.
Hotel Inti is quaint and comfortable at an affordable price. In the centre of it all, You can walk to most sites. Chris and Matteo, thank you for your kind hospitality. Please tell your Mom that i loved my breakfast. N.B. if you are a light sleeper, ask for a room away from the street. Traffic runs all night.
My room was great! I had my own spa bath which I enjoyed every night of my 5 night stay. The staff were helpful, friendly, amazing & felt like family by the time I left. Walking through the park across the road bare foot was yummy & it was so easy to access food, clothes & medical assistance. It is also close to bus stops & the metro which are both ready to catch. Loved staying there 😁🌈
Beautifully maintained property in a traditional building near the Historic Center of Quito. Beautiful woodwork with modern and traditional art in the rooms and hallways. Plumbing, bedding and wifi are all modern and completely functional. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast are delicious.
The Vibe (Quick Take):
Hotel Inti Quito is the definition of practical comfort — a clean, well-located base that delivers exactly what travelers need after long flights and busy days exploring Quito’s historic core and surrounding viewpoints.
Why We Liked It:
✅ Excellent Location — Just a short ride from both the historic Old Town and key transit points, it’s a perfect launchpad for a tight, one-day Quito itinerary.
✅ Comfortable & Quiet Rooms — Simple but well-appointed rooms with solid beds and good air circulation — crucial when you’re coming off red-eye flights and high altitude.
✅ Professional, Friendly Staff — Helpful reception team made check-in smooth and offered practical local tips.
✅ Good Value for Quito Standards — Comfortable without being luxurious; the price reflects thoughtful basics rather than frills.
✅ Fast Airport/Departure Logistics — Easy access to taxis and early morning transfers, which matters when you’re doing back-to-back flights.
Room Notes:
Rooms are clean, functional, and well-lit — not boutique or Instagrammable, but reliable and restful, especially for overnight stays or short layovers.
Who It’s Perfect For:
✔ Travelers with tight schedules
✔ One-night stays between flights
✔ Explorers who want proximity to Quito’s main sites without paying premium boutique prices
Borderless Bros Score: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5)
A solid, low-stress choice that gets out of the way so you can explore Quito — which is exactly what you want from a hotel on a one-day whirl
We very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Inti. Daniel was a wonderful host and all staff were helpful and accommodating. We had our laundry done same day for a reasonable cost, and the included breakfast was simple but delicious. Although there wasn't a lot in the area to walk to, Ubers were easy to get and we were only about a 5 minute walk to the El Ejido Metro station. Nights were mostly quiet, although there is some traffic noise, so earplugs are recommended if you are a light sleeper. Overall, we highly recommend Hotel Inti for a comfortable and affordable stay.
Check-in was relatively easy. The front desk can also help arrange airport car service for $30-$35, which is nice.
We had a spacious loft with a spa tub, but the spa didn't hold water so we were unable to use it during our stay. The room was clean and nice.
The bathroom/shower is open air without doors. We had a water leak somewhere that caused part of the ground floor tile bathroom flooring to stay a bit wet, but it was contained and mostly unbothersome.
Breakfast was lovely with fruit & granola, scrambled egg, toast, and coffee/tea. There is a metro station and shops nearby. We felt safe walking during the day.
The staff was friendly, though you did have to buzz in at the main door each time you wanted access to your room. While they're usually quick to respond, once we waited ~8 min outside buzzing. This is no fun in the rain.
Overall, a cute boutique hotel in a nice location with friendly staff. For the price we paid, we would absolutely recommend to others for their stay in Quito! We would stay here again.
This is a well run family property located across a busy street from a large urban park. The neighbor is fine during the day, but a night it is a little sketchy, so restrict your evening travel to cabs or urber.
It is a very comfortable hotel with excellent bed and great shower. Although their English is not very good they make it up with effort. It is family run so it is cost. Their airport transfer was excellent.
The location is very convenient with most attractions within short walking distance. 20 minutes tops to the center of the historical center and smarten 15 to Place Foch if you want nightlife.
Overall I had a great time. When I left we were all like friends.
My adult daughter and I stayed at Inti. We felt very safe at the hotel and in the neighborhood. There is a huge park right across Inti. Hotel is located in center of the city, which makes it convenient to go to either ends of Quito to visit Mundo or Cotopaxi.
Bathrooms are completely renovated, large and extremely clean. This is a huge plus compared to other hotels.
Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Morning breakfast was bread, butter, jam, eggs, awesome coffee, milk, yogurt, granola/oats, variety of local Ecuador fruits. On days that we had an early tour, the lady staff made our breakfast early. And, on our last day she packed breakfast to the airport!
If I go back to Quito, I would stay there again!
Staff was amazing. Upgraded our room situation and could not have been more helpful and kind. Excellent shuttle service for the airport. Yummy breakfasts. The rooms were fantastic. Would stay again.
I had to stay one extra night in Quito and saw that this hotel was available, had good reviews, and advertised a bathtub.
The room was dirty, the towels had stains and hair, and the bathroom floor was slippery and unclean. I didn’t feel comfortable using the bathtub, and the area where the hotel is located doesn’t feel very safe.
There’s a doorbell system to access the hotel, and I kept hearing it ring throughout the night (1, 2, even 3 a.m.).
I won’t be returning to this hotel and felt truly disappointed.
This is a very cute boutique hotel owned by a husband and wife. They are really accommodating and the place is kept very clean and very well appt
The hotel is based next to El Ejido park which has quite a lot of shops and things going on. Which is handy for food and also shopping. The artesanal Market of mariscal is just 8 mins walk away
It is also handy to walk to the old town. Takes about 15 mins
The breakfast is basic but good with a variety of fruit, eggs and bread and coffee
The rooms are the most unique part as some has a jacuzzi tub in it
