"Great location! Had a bit of confusion with check in? Had to stay one night at Their other hotel? Hotel is on a busy street makes it hard for taxi pickups and drop offs. Two blocks away from main plaza. Would stay again "

"This hotel, in the historic area of Quito, is a beautiful and week run hotel. The employees are attentive, helpful and most speak English as well as Spanish. There is a lovely shop attached to the hotel for gifts & treasures. Also, a fun “chocolate” sampling and history is presented each evening. The food is terrific, both morning and evening. Our only complaint is about the pillows … too hard. Oh, and earplugs are provided as occasional outside revelry can disrupt sleep. Use them:)"

"This is a very cute hotel with a lovely view and a roof top terrace for enjoying breakfast. However, it’s dangerous in the surrounding area at night snd when we arrived they ushered us to our room without giving us any towels, water or any food option. The staff wanted to be helpful but didn’t speak English. The breakfast on the terrace made it worthwhile, though. "

"I loved everything about this property. The personalized touches, safety, spa, afternoon, tea, absolute, beautiful gardens, and architecture. The views were outstanding. If I could, I would live there."

"This is a very different style hotel if you are used to staying in the big chains. We had a family room booked for my family of 3. My son slept in the loft and loved it. The hotel appears to have been completely restored. Lots of old wooden features and art work. There is a wine cellar where you can purchase a bottle of wine and there is a spiral stair case that takes you to the roof and gives you a GREAT view of the historical area of Quito. We encountered rain every night so we did not get the chance to go to the roof and enjoy a drink. Hotel does provide loaner umbrellas cause when it rains in Quito, it RAINS. This is an old hotel, so the floors do squeak in spots but you get used to it. Staff was amazing, they helped us book a tour and transportation. They also made us breakfast every morning with fresh fruit and eggs. Location is great. You are like 5 blocks to the basilica church in one direction, 4 blocks to a "mall" that has great food options. And 2 blocks to Teatro Sucre which is where a bunch of tour groups pick up."
