"We have previously stayed at the property and the staff are always friendly and helpful, the rooms are large clean and tidy, although some areas of the hotel could do with refreshing. The out side of the property has been cleaned and looks better. However when walking just of the property to the rear there is a strong smell of sewage,and what appears to be sewage waste!! I did mention this on a previous visit but it looks like it's a ongoing issue? Also a note could perhaps be put on the website saying that the restaurant/ cafe is closed on Monday-Thursday 11am- 1600,which is quite annoying when you have had a long drive and are unable to even purchase a bottle of water. We did ask if we could purchase a bottle of water at the reception but was told "No the restaurant is closed""

Parador De Lerma

"The Parador de Lerma was delightful - a lovely building and charming staff. Parking was very easy in front of the Parador. The central atrium is a great place for a relaxing lunch or afternoon tea. The Parador is right in the middle of town so everything is within easy walking distance - having said that, there isn’t too much to see and we saw everything that we wanted to see in one day. Although we didn’t see the famous Toy Museum as it is only open at weekends- our fault, we should have checked the website. We had a wonderful, memorable meal at Restaurante Galoria - a small family-run restaurant with a delightful romantic ambience, dining in their courtyard. We also ate in the Parador restaurant- an excellent meal but with a somewhat different ambience - we were advised to book early for dinner as a large convention was taking place in the hotel and they would also be dining that night. We sat down at 7pm in a deserted restaurant as the convention was dining in a separate dining room! A final word on our drive to Lerma - we drove up from Sigüenza on the back roads via Imon and Esterbanvela. For the first 80 miles of that drive we did not see another car on our side of the road - no-one in front of us, no-one behind us. It was just relaxed driving on empty roads with beautiful views all the way - one of the best drives that I have ever done. We stopped at Esterbanvela for a coffee - a memorable open-air coffee at the side of the road!"

"Stayed here for 2nd time while travelling between Alicante and Santander. Perfect dog friendly hotel in a beautiful town. Great staff & excellent breakfast"

"La vie de château ! Rien de moins ! Nous y avons passé deux nuits merveilleuses grâce à l’emplacement et le bâtiment unique restauré avec soin. On se sent vraiment Roi et Reine ! Je recommande fortement si vous voulez passer un séjour dans le calme et la sérénité royale !"

"El entorno es espectacular, ideal para desconectar y disfrutar de la tranquilidad de la Ribera del Duero. Despertar con vistas a los viñedos fue una experiencia inolvidable. Las instalaciones están muy cuidadas, las habitaciones son cómodas y limpias Recomiendo este hotel al 100%"

"Nice sized room. The shower is a tub combo so be careful. Bed was very comfortable. NO COFFEE in the room and since cafe’s don’t open until 8:30 and some just don’t open for various reasons, you can find coffee at 8:30 in their restaurant… if it opens. Did not open on of the days of our stay. Did not have takeaway cups so we could take coffee to our room. TV in the room would not connect to the internet for Netflix and the maintenance person never arrived when reported. So… put coffee in the room. Have Takeaway/To Go cups available. The staff was great and the location was perfect."
