"The hotel was excellent, really clean and staff very helpful especially in the restaurant. The bedroom was of generous size, there was a fridge but this needed to be switched by leaving a room card in all the time. The mugs where oddments ie one cup, one mug, this meant not great if you were making coffee etc. The housekeeping department did not always clean them nor fill up the tea & coffee which was a bit disappointing and you only got 1 bottle of water a night but overall it was a good place to stay. "

"Very nice location, great customer service, choice for B'fast & clean. The property needs big improvements as it can be very hot in summer days! fan was supplied but didn't help much, we had ground floor room couldn't leave the curtains & window open as no net to keep flies away and to have privacy as can see people traffic outside your room window. Lovely surroundings to have picnic."

"Very convenient location, close to M11 (5 min drive) and Park and Ride (10 min walk) but noise wasn't an issue as it was constant in the back ground, almost white noise. Rooms good, clean and with a bit of character. Grounds of the house lovely with avenue of trees to drive up to the building, and walk clearly signposted to local pub (20 mins walk, mainly through fields and woodland). Very pleasant stay."
