"Deeply disappointing: Staff effort can't mask mismanagement I booked a staycation with high hopes, but the experience was disheartening. While the staff are clearly hardworking and proactive, they are being set to fail by what appears to be lack of compentent management. Safety: Most alarming was finding a needle on the pool steps. The pool area also had floating debris and empty water bottles. Pervasive smells of sewage and garbage in unavoidable areas of the property. Room: The hardware was literally falling off the walls. A towel hook detached under the weight of a toddler’s rash guard. A rocking toilet and the bathroom had a persistent sewer stench. Dining: A steak sandwich that looked "pre-chewed" and the juices were so heavily diluted that even my child, who never turns down juice, refused to drink them. Nitpicking: Getting towels at the pool hut required calling the hotel's main external line, and maintenance chemicals were left unattended along the walking path. The sports equipment was in such a terrible state that it had to be handed to us with a rag. While "please be understanding of our shortcomings" signs are posted throughout the property, there is no request for guest surveys or feedback to actually address these issues. Overall impressions: Staff were wonderful, proactive, and went above and beyond to fix problems that shouldn't have existed in the first place. It is clear they are doing their best with very little support. It felt as though "

"the area was just convenient for me, exactlywhat i what i was looking for. everything i needed to get done was in walking distance. the view is breathtaking( love it). the host is great at communication down to earth and friendly. everything you need is there. overall i felt good being home. will be booking again soon. 😊"

"We had a wonderful stay in this property! Firstly, Marie is incredibly kind, gracious and always prompt in responding to any of my questions. Rena, who is the property manager is very sweet and easy to connect with when I had a quick question.Rawle, our airport pick up/drop off driver was very hospitable and courteous. Secondly, the house itself was very spacious. We rented the main floor and it accommodated our needs for a family of 6. It was well stocked with toilet papers, bath and beach towels, etc. There were shampoos, conditioners and body wash in both bathrooms. And although we did not need any, Marie has provided toothbrushes and other toiletries that one may have missed while packing. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had an amazing gas stove which I used everyday as I enjoy making home cooked meals. There was an air fryer which came in very handy! The kitchen was fully equipped. I may suggest perhaps adding some more kid friendly plates and cups :) Lastly, the view from this property is breathtaking as it overlooks the ocean, the mountains and of the island itself. We watched the beautiful sunset from the balcony a few times. I went for a run/walk every morning. The neighborhood is safe and neighbours generally greeted me with a hello and good morning. We enjoyed everything about this place. And having access to a vehicle is definitely a great plus and a must-have for being in this area. "Bob and Leslie were excellent hosts. Bob picked us up at the airport ( eventhough our flight was quite late) and stopped at a grocery store so we could pick up supplies for breakfast next day. On our way to the property, we realized we forgot to buy eggs. After checking in, Bob was at our door with 6 eggs to get us through the AM, until we could get groceries the next day!The apt. was clean, but dated. Everything you need was there. We were surprised by no hot water in the bathroom sinks ( cold was working fine) and both showers had adequate hot water from electrically heated shower heads.Leslie checked in twice to see if we had any issues, and when we explained the bottom broke out of our glass coffee press ( no coffee maker), it was immediately replaced. When the 2nd one broke, a coffee maker was supplied.Be prepared for some steep hills if you dont have a vehicle, or want to use taxis (25.00 ec) from the carneage to apt. Walking is an option, but its a workout!The view is great, and we spent a lot of our evenings on our balcony watching the ships and activities in the harbour.There is a Trinidadian restaurant right across the road. Everything is homemade by a husband & wife team. Food is fantastic, and portions are generous. Darrin & Mel ( the owners) are wonderful, friendly people.Its a must visit for sure!"
