"Lovely stay. The hotel is in a great location with good walks around, close to Newbury and the Watermill Theatre. The rooms were very clean, staff were friendly and excellent breakfasts. Recommend it"

"Large clean room, in very handy location. If booking ask for a room away from the road, as quite a busy road, and can be a little noisy. Also, walls may not be that thick as could hear snoring from an adjoining room. Handy area with various items you may need such as tea pots, milk, tea bags and dishes for breakfast cereals, plus cutlery."

"Great location a very short walk into main Winchester. All staff very friendly and said hello! Comfy bed, good facilities in the room (USB ports, coffee and tea, inroning board and iron). Beautiful smelling toiletries in the bathroom! And the pool and sauna etc was not huge but very nice and chilled despite being well attended. Breakfast ok - busy but things were kept topped up. Parking could be clearer when booking. Its a council carpark which isnt expensive but you do need to pay at certain times during the day OR hotel carpark but also not free. No hardship but always better to know than be surprised, I think my booking might have said 'free parking' which it wasn't. But overall would defintely stay again!"

"Perfect place to stay, pre-cruise! The accessible room was spot on, the height of the bed was a bit on the low side, (but a huge improvement on the ridiculously low beds that another well know hotel chain insists on using) the bathroom was well equipped and the rest of the hotel facilities were great."

"Great hotel for the New Forest experience. Gorgeous surroundings, child friendly with a fantastic dragon adventure trail for children to participate in (and get a little prize on completion). Pool, nature, nice breakfast, helpful staff, ponys, birds, forest - we loved our stay in the New Forest."
