"The wifi did not work and there was no laundry as advertised. The room i stayed in had constant loud banging sounds from the room the table was broken and the bed frame also broken and scratched my leg causing it to bleed; but i was able to switch rooms the second day. The road one street down is under construction so no cars could get through to the actual location. "Second stay at Shamrock apartments another great stay. So close to all amenities, bus terminal so close, restaurants, shops etc.. hosts are attentive and quick to respond to any enquires. Appartment has everything you could need for your stay. Pool is small but clean. Plenty of sunbeds. Only negative not the appartments fault but a Scottish lady decided to sunbathe topless (which is not allowed) next to my 80 year old father, just because she wanted the particular bed he was using!! "

"Hmmm. Difficult to review this experience. So be clear, this is MY opinion and feelings from my stay. very spacious. Close walking distance to buses to/from airport and to get anywhere. Access to restaurants and convenience store nearby. Nothing negative to say about the apartment EXCEPT for me, I like to take a COLD SHOWER by choice. ""Pool" is tiny, not big enough to swim in, more a plunge pool. Long, black hairs in the bed on arrival (I have short, brown hair). Hairs and stains and scuff marks on the sofa and chair. Wallpaper damaged, squeaky bed, towel rail broken in one bathroom, shower rail broken in the other. Kettle didn't work. Crockery was a mish mash, much of it was plastic picnicware. Could easily all have been fixed by a handyman in half a day. Apartments right below the Cittadella where the clock chimes loudly...

"Mold, spiders and dead insects everywhere. Was not clean when I came in host never responds. Appliances all have the wrong plug-ins for Malta."

"The apartment has large rooms and a great front terrace which gets the morning sun. It is very well equiped too. There is a lot of building work in Marsaskala, thankfully this didn't disturb us. Marsaskala is a good base to explore from. We took the bus into Valletta most days to sightsee there or take a second bus to see more of the island. If planning on using buses buy your weekly ticket in the airport. Should we return to Malta we wouldn’t hesitate to book this apartment."

"Lovely view of Marsaskala harbour. Enough eateries for a short stay. We wanted to explore Island more. All buses go to Valletta but for a lot of other destinations you needed to go into Valletta and change there. Very inexpensive form of travel at 2.50 Euros pp for a few hours of travel but very time consuming. Enjoyed stay and hosts were very helpful."
