"A stale kitchen smell hung around the reception and permeated the building. No lights were on and it was like entering a dark cave. I normally like quaint old hotels but this was just down at heel and dispiriting. The photographer must be very clever as the reality was dismal. The sauna was an extra 55 Euros so we didnt use it and didn't eat there as the stale smell was so unappetising. We would not have stayed except that we had booked and paid in advance."

"The staff is terrible. She owns a defunct neglected Manor and does not have a plan to refurbish. The room is a decrepit large closet. The bathroom is downstairs in a shared room. The REST of the house is off-limits and she stays there always. She yelled at me fkr walking down the stairs at night. This is awful. Stay away from here !!"

"Ideal place if you want to cycle but if it rains you’ll still have loads to do as the property is within easy driving distance of Caens, Bayeaux and Rouen. Pegasus Bridge and the D Day landing beaches are all within easy reach and museums are very interesting. Only reason for 4 star on accuracy of listing is because it mentions that breakfast is available. Post Covid this isn’t available but this isn’t a big issue as you have your own fridge, microwave and kettle and owners Jean Luc and...
