"The property is beautiful, and the family here is so sweet and welcoming. They have an option to have lunch and dinner made for you, which I highly recommend as you are not on the mainland. The food was delicious and healthy. The view of the stars at night was breathtaking. The option to dress in traditional cloths and have a reed boat ride on the lake at sunset was unforgettable. This was my favorite part of our Peru trip, and I wish we had the opportunity to stay even longer. "

"Travelers should be aware that drivers may not know how to get to the property as streets in the area are mostly pedestrian only. However, it is possible for vehicles to directly access the hotel on one street only. "

"The staff were very nice and helpful. The hotel was within walking distance of many restaurants. The breakfast was good quality. I had hot water both days when I showered. There is no heat which is typical of hotels in Peru. The hotel did provide a really thick extra blanket."

"Our stay at the Sonesta Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the warmth of the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. They may need to be reminded of any ask twice, but they are really good people. The location is breathtaking. Waking up to panoramic views of Lake Titicaca from our room was an experience I’ll never forget. The room itself was spotless, beautifully appointed, and cozy. And there were alpacas and guinea pigs at the courtyard. We also enjoyed dinner at the hotel restaurant, which offered a mix of local and Italian cuisine. The hotel’s grounds are immaculate, with peaceful gazebos and a firepit to enjoy the sunset. You can also arrange tours to Uros and Taquile Islands by boat - right from the hotel beach. Oh, they have oxygen in the hotel, too! Stunning, thoughtful and relaxing."
