We loved our 8-day stay at Casa de Miel. The condo is pretty, comfortable, and just about everything you could need is provided. The kitchen was particularly well-stocked with appliances, cooking ware and serving ware. The only limitation is the kitchen is rather narrow, with limited (but adequate) counter space.
The master bedroom is spacious and we found the king bed quite comfortable. The second bedroom is smaller, with queen bed, and opens out to a semi-private courtyard area.
The condo is located in a quiet neighborhood, away from the hustle and bustle of Old Town, but close enough to easily walk to Centro and Romantica whenever you want to.
Lupe, the caretaker, lives in the complex and did a splendid job introducing us to the condo and describing how to get around town, and she consistently keeps the common areas clean and tidy. She was available to help with anything we might need.
Our guests, staying in the second bedroom, found the queen bed to be uncomfortably firm, but as soon as we asked Lupe for advice she brought to us a mattress topper that helped a lot.
Besides the unit itself, the lovely pool area is just outside the condo door, and complete with loungers and tables with umbrellas. The view is wonderful. An even better view is from the rooftop, where you can see practically the entire Banderas Bay.
One heads up if you are considering this rental: it is an easy walk downhill to the Malecón, but for the return trip most folks will want to use Uber. Sometimes Uber drivers get confused how to access the location, due to some blocked streets and one-way streets. Add to that the bumpy old cobblestone and it can be a humorous ride!
Brian, one of the owners, was also very responsive to messages/questions—before check-in and during our stay.
