"For a four star it was good. Thumps up. only a few things that should not spoil it for you... 1. Only 1 heated pool in the Autumn. 2. For meals you are told where to sit, rather than choosing for yourself. (I felt like a school child, after queuing to get in the dining hall) And a member of senior staff, very rude, for a chair that was not allocated to a table that we wanted to sit on. Very bizarre, on every meal. The food was very good. 3. The other staff including reception, were great. "

"The owners do not understand English. And they had no idea that we reserved their room. We were locked out of door. We are lucky to met a couple who can speak Spanish and English both and help us to call the owner. Then the owner come. Anyway, the room is OK, but the parking is difficult."

"Nice apartment with lovely sunny balcony (with sunshade) overlooking pool and beautiful garden. Garden is really lovely with lots of cats to spot, also birds doves etc. Pool good but cool - good to relax around. WiFi was good, TV with some English news channels. Good range of cookery utensils but only stovetop no oven or microwave. Bed comfortable and slept very well. The apartments are about 10 minutes walk from the centre of Los Llanos, which has plenty of friendly bars and some restaurants....

"We had a lovely time in Fuencaliente, the Pensión is clean, well equipped and light and the area is quiet. Owner is very friendly . There’s lots to do especially if you like walking and amazing scenery. Good restaurants in town or you can do simple cooking in the appartment . A slightly more comfortable mattress and we would give it top marks."

"We enjoyed our stay very much. It's a wonderful place to relax and forget the hassle and bustle of the city. We couldn't believe how quite it is. The cave is very cosy and comfortable and has everything you need. We felt very much at home. Grit, our host was very helpful and easy going. It's a great base for trips and hikes, but you definitely need a car. The steep road down to the property is a bit of an adventure, but you get used to it."

"The location close to the new lava flow and the closure of many important roads made getting about very challenging. Most of the local restaurants and shops were closed post covid and the eruption and not knowing this in advance meant we couldn't properly plan for this. However, the villa itself, and Carmen whom I met briefly, were fabulous. Amazing views and just about everything you could imagine you would ever need was in the villa. There was even a lovely bottle of local red wine. More transparency from the Vrbo about the effects on local shops and restaurants would have massively improved the experience."
