Welcome to this bright and peaceful entire house (one side of a twin), in Pattenburg NJ. This lovely country home sits on approximately 2 acres of land, with beautiful woods and a small brook that runs through it (complete with a little bridge). Although the house is in a rural area, it is conveniently located less than five minutes from rt. 78 and rt. 173. Clinton, the neighboring town, is less than ten minutes away. There you’ll find a Walmart and grocery stores, shopping, gas stations. If you’re looking for a good local place to have dinner, The Pattenburg Inn is within walking distance from the house. If you stay here, you’ll enjoy having the best of both worlds. The privacy of a country setting, but civilization and its benefits are still nearby.
Upon arrival you will find ample parking on the property. It has an easy to access front entrance, and large open porch with comfy rocking chairs. There is also a rear entrance that goes into the kitchen. Once inside, the downstairs has a large living room adjacent to a kitchen. The live edge bar and three barstools tie the two rooms together, and contribute to the open yet cozy atmosphere. You’ll also find a desk and comfy adjustable chair, as well as WiFi. In addition, there are two Roku TVs.
Upstairs you’ll find two bedrooms and one bathroom that share a hallway (please be mindful on the steps and use the handrail), as this is an older house, and the staircase is curved and the steps narrow. The steps and entire upstairs (minus the bathroom) brand new wall wall carpet. Both beds have queen-sized mattresses, closets, and upon arrival you’ll find the beds made, with clean linens, pillows, and comforter. The bathroom has a tub, sink, vanity, and clean freshly stocked towels.
For guest’s convenience, there is a washer and dryer in the downstairs closet. Hosts are always just a phone call away, and every effort will always be made to accommodate and satisfy our guests.
Things to Note:
1) There are tenants in the adjacent house. They are separate houses, yours is an entire house, private entrance, private everything inside. The exterior is shared, so the driveway (which has plenty of parking for both homes), the front porch, and the yard and woods behind.
2) If you are visiting in the summer, please bring tick/bug spray. As it is a country setting, and the property sits 100 yards from woods.
3) We are pet friendly, as long as they are well-behaved, and not destructive. Any damage done to the house will be the guests sole responsibility to pay for. Please make sure to keep dogs on a leash at all times. This is for their safety, as the house sits close to route 614. When you are visiting with your fur babies, we require a pet deposit, as we clean thoroughly after every guest checks out. Service animals are exempt from this.
