The property is clearly advertised as having doors that open from the lounge to the outside sea front. "We had a lovely stay there with our family. The cottage we stayed in had all amenities and plenty of space. The cottage didn’t have AC but there was a fan and the staff was accommodating when we asked for a second one. The pool and facilities were well maintained and clean. The restaurant was okay for something on site. Beautiful location by the river. Friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed our stay."

"The main areas have been refurbished and are lovely apart from the TV blasting away all day. ( children’s tv during a quiet breakfast) The bedrooms have not been re-done yet but are clean and ok. The breakfast serving staff were too busy chatting to each other to help. We went in shortly after a coach trip and there was no fresh fruit salad left and no pain au chocolate. No salt and pepper on our table, a dirty mug and very abrupt service, however the food was good. I think with someone in charge of the service this could become a very good hotel, front desk staff were helpful organising taxis for us. We will stay here next time we visit and hope the breakfast service will be better. Overall a good place to stay in a fabulous location, it could be fantastic."

"Beautiful position at base of Haytor Rocks. Parking easy and plenty of room inside and outside no matter what the weather. Staff great. Would recommend try and book with breakfast included. Likely to be a better deal. It is a shame the hotel has yet to install an electric charging point. There is one at an adjacent tourist facility but out or order. Other than that great!"
